Can’t get above 10psi

I am new the forums and just started today. I have been having a overboost issue and was hitting 22psi with only hpfp internals upgrade, and a SRI. I knew this was wrong and took my car to a local shop and he was saying I needed to replace my exhaust system and I kept on telling him that’s not the problem since I just don’t have mufflers on my car. So I then told asked my friend that has a ms6 and he said it could be my ebcs and so then I told the mechanic and he replaced the part and now I don’t have the over boost issue. Now I am only hitting anywhere from 8-10 psi. I do have an AP but don’t know what gears to upload any logs in or anything. I have tightened everything with my intake and don’t think it is a boost leak. What should I do?

Changing EBCS went from overboost to underboost.
A: Clearly the overboost problem was with your EBCS system.
B: Clearly the underboost problem is with your EBCS system.

Check the routing of the lines/hoses from the ebcs to the turbo and to your turbo inlet pipe. Also make sure the electrical plug is properly fastened. Mech probably did not do the install correctly. If he used an OEM replacement check to eee if he broke a plastic nipple.

BTW when you were overboosting to 22, you may have been much higher, as the stock MAP sensor maxes out at about 22.5. You could have hit 30 and it would still show 22. A true vacuum mechanical gauge would be accurate.
