Default VersaTuner Feature Update

For those who have not checked out VersaTuner lately, here are some links to the features and list of included tunes. We are actively developing VersaTuner for Mazdaspeed 3/6, and with our new in-house dyno, we are adding new tunes to the included off-the-shelf tunes list.

Ok. The only "feature update" is more OTS tunes?

I don't speak for everyone, but I feel confident in saying that most people don't use OTS tunes. Most likely because of the stigma around COBB OTS tunes being "complete garbage".

There is enough information readily available on MSF to get ANY Speed running with Versa or AP. And actually, I find it very necessary for users to do the research and figure this stuff out. You learn a lot about tuning along the way. There are How-To's on setting up a base tune. There are MAFCALs ready to go with a simple copy/paste that really only need a touch-up for the specific vehicle.

I'm not a "pro-tuner", but I've tuned my car with Versatuner since the beginning. Maybe that's why I feel the way I do.

I like Versatuner and I push others to join the Versatuner team, but I think developing OTS tunes is the wrong place to spend resources.

Do you have radiator fan control worked out?

I've heard others have a similar issue as me where cold starts need either a quick tap of the gas pedal or constant pressure on the gas pedal to maintain idle. I'm used to it now. Been dealing with it since I installed VT 2 something years ago.

Our OTS tunes are developed and tested on real cars.
All new OTS tunes include real dyno charts created on our new in-house dyno.
Our OTS tunes are fairly conservative. We don't push timing to the bleeding edge.
For instance, the Gen2 OTS tune we just released has been on my daily driver for 3 years without issue.

The fans are not directly controlled by the ECU. There is a fan controller. That has made it difficult to figure out how to control fans.

Is the cold idle specific to MS6? I have seen issues on my MS6, but I attributed it to the blow-through MAF.
My gen2 idles fine at startup in sub-zero F weather.
There are cranking and after-start enrichment tables exposed. Have you tried adjusting that?

I have not adjusted cold start or afterstart enrichment tables but I am trying to get a local to share his with me to see if there are any differences. It's been an issue since I first flashed VT when I was stock.
