Default Setting boost per gear -is it safe to put other tables to super high values?

OK, so I am reading through the ATR user guide for the 10th time and am (I think) getting the hang of what to switch to achieve certain goals. The MAF is calibrated and ignition timing is where I want it. I don't plan on increasing the total requested ABS LOAD beyond the current max but I am interested in making 1st and 2nd boost higher like the high gears.

So, after looking at Cobb's Stage 1+ maps vs stock, I see the following:

1. Throttle - Req. Load - Max A --> set to a VERY HIGH value, 3.00 starting at 3000rpm through 7000rpms.

2. Throttle - Req. Load - Max B --> set to a VERY HIGH value, 3.00.

3. Throttle - Req. Load - Baro vs RPM --> Baros 11.27 and higher from 2500rpm and up are set very quickly to near 2.50 abs load request.

4. Boost Dynamics and Load Dynamics are unchanged.

Am I correct to understand that the above changes will force the ECU to use the Throttle Req Load - X Gear (high/low BAT) tables (assuming they are still at stock levels and therefore the lowest abs load targets of the tables mentioned)?

Is there any chance the ECU would still try and use the other tables which are set to super high abs load targets? I want to avoid any risk of those tables being used and ridiculous torque targets being aimed for by the ECU. Specifically, I want to target boost by gear. Any input?
