Default Questions about HT tune

I want to buyt this HT tune ive been hearing about just a few questions?

I already have a SRI/TIP Nothing else as of yet.

I want to run a full turboback with a catted downpipe, FMIC, New Turbosmart Blow off and the tune. What kinda HP would i be looking at?

Would this keep me hanging with stock STi's?

Is it easy to install because i suck at anything mechanical?

wheres the best place to buy?

Some people say it makes your third gear pull slower than stock? I find that hard to believe but just asking.

Thank you

I'll give my 2 cents here

-skip the HT
-get an AP or a SB for tuning
-always get a tuning solution that you can modify yourself for when you add on mods or weather changes

-if you are slower in 3rd gear after tuning, then you're doing it wrong.

but really, get an accessport or a standback

first if your planning on running all that stuff and you ask about trouble installing a hypertech tune, your a long ways off, because the labor you'll have to pay a shop to install that will be nuts, second do some reading, there are longggggg threads about the ht tune, i personally dont have one but from reading it looks like full turboback and fmic would not be a good idea to run with the ht tune, also ur gonna wanna get a fuel pump, plugs, and other various things, and get as mentioned an sb or ap, that would be the safest, most powerful way to go

Yeah, but if this guy is worried about installing the HT, how in the world is he going to be able to tune it w/ the AP or SB. I smell another grenaded engine thread coming real soon! Yippee!

dont know what you're doing/dont want to pay for a ap or sb + pro tune= get the ht tune, plug it in -answer the questions- unplug -dunzo. I believe it is still true no one has blown on a ht(flame me if im wrong). My personal feeling is that it is a safe tune but you will not make any where near as much power as ap or sb. I must say that I personally bought an ap yesterday and will be selling my ht very soon.
