It has been a while since I last posted. Now that the holidays are over with, we are going to plan a tuning trip for our Plano facility. Christian ..... Has cobb found a way to turn off the fuel cut like cpe has? By that i mean not just tuning around it but actually turning it off so it cant occur. Even if i want to run 30psi in subzero temps.

Not a problem and never has been. I simply set the values at something that I felt was reasonable in the past. These are simply safety parameters to help protect the motor.

Christian, how *does* the ECU perform a fuel cut? Does it cut spark,fuel,close the throttle plate? All of the above? Is a fuel cut in of itself dangerous? Obviously if your fuel cutting you need to pull over and find out what is causing it, and then determine if its something bad or if the engine is just running outside of the ECU's parameters and the ECU needs to be adjusted or if its a real problem that needs to be fixed. I'd love to hear your opinion on this.

If it not a problem anymore that is good news, but i dont know about the "never has been" i have seen several posts on the various forums of AP users getting cut.
Will you be keeping records of these custom tunes to provide the maps to others with similar mods and needs? One more question. Has the limitations in first and second gears been removed yet? I remember seeing a lot of complaints about the boost comming on too slow for some people. I will be getting SOMETHING to allow me to run the 20+psi i like to all year round without cut. The tax man is paying for it!

there was cut in previous maps because they were designed that way....to protect the motor. and there is probably cuts in the new maps for the same reason. hes saying if he wanted to disable it completely he can and always has been able to

Well that i was not aware of. Good news. What about the limited power in lower gears. I know cobb had said it was to help with traction or something, but i dont care about that. Let my tires and suspension worry about traction, not my tune.

unfortunitly none of the the throttle mapping is NEARLY as smooth as "stage2+sf 93 fmic" map.....the beta had the best/smoothest throttle mapping and the final does too. Wich sucks bc that map doesnt fit my mods. The other stage 2 maps are very on/off in regards to throttle input.

Christian....i dont know if its possible....is there anyway to easy/quickly take the throttle mapping from stage2+sf 93 v103 fmic and apply to the other maps...its would greatly inhance part throttle drivability. Maybe v103.1 maps haha

Yep, dyno tunes, there are already some 2871 maps floating around. Don't see why others can't be made too.

I would like to see the results they got from the 2871 MS6 they tuned. I have not actually seen the dyno but i have heard the well modded big turbo car made under 300whp. I dont know how much truth is behind that though. If so that is a big let down. My little k04 put me at 300whp on my last dyno ! Believe me i want to see good things from the AP. If i finally see some decent results come from these dyno tunes i will be convinced to buy. If not i already have my backup plan ready!

Excpect some dynos from me, Im full bolt on MS6 GT2871R.

We are tuning it now that i have a PT Performance fuel pump. (I was running out of fuel before so that put tuning on hold)

that is jumping jackson's speed6 that has the gt28 on it. the reason there isn't much info is because he needed a fuel pump and just recently got one from ptp so for the past few months there hasn't been any update on it.
