(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I built a new computer with windows 7 64-bit home on it! My brother has a laptop with xp 32-bit (like my old desktop was running) and everything for the AP runs fine. I installed the updater and the AP doesnt even see the computer. It doesnt want to connect to the computer and the updater keepts telling me to connect the ap to the computer. So i download Manager to see if it has the same connection problem and it does. Same goes for ATR. I tried a number of ways on connecting it like plug it in before running the program and after running it and stuff but still no good. Anyone with Windows 7 having the same issue? Oh and lookded on cobbs site but didnt find much except bioevole had the same prob!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Best bet is to run Windows Virtual Machine (free from MS) and put XP on that. That solves all these old-style hardware/software-new OS issues. It works absolutely rock-solid. |

It works if i move the wire on the ap a certain way cause it wont read my ecu either sometimes unless i move the usb cord in the perfect position! but whats weird is that it still powers up but doesnt read! plus virtual pc only work if you have proffessional and up which is retarded! thanks for the help though!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just in case anyone is still googling this issue.... Just had this problem after it working previously. It seems significant to use the USB cable that the AP came with, it's grey. At least this was the case for me when I tried to use it with another USB cable.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Also if the AP itself is tweaking out in your car with mad-ass readings. Flash ECU to another tune, then back to the one you want.
