Default User tags vanished

Did anybody else notice that all the user tags posted before today or yesterday have all vanished from every thread? Just wanted to call it out to the admins - or so you all can tell me I'm crazy

I rebuilt all of the threads, posts, and counters last night. I've had tags disabled since 2009 and they won't be enabled ever as they do nothing for searching. What they end up doing is bringing up posts in similar threads that have absolutely no reference because of tags like, faggot, cock, fail, etc.

I simply removed what was already disabled...

I'm sorry maybe what I meant was user mentions, like @Haltech; If you look at posts from before that rebuild they are all empty, take for example:

http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...convoy-164845/

All those ; in the first post had names in front of them yesterday. It seems to be every thread.

I rebuilt the cache... Of course they will disappear. This had to be done.

So forgive my ignorance, but does that mean all the old Mentions have disappeared for good (unless the posts are edited to put them back)?

If so, there will be a lot of Mention Lists (and lists for things like Group Buys, ENM, etc.) that will need to be manually fixed...

**EDIT**

So it looks like a simple "Edit & Save" (without changing anything) is all that's needed to fix a particular Mention-containing post...At least it has worked on the 3 or 4 I've tried it on.

Right, the software works as intended, but you never know if the custom modification will stick or not when updating counters. By default, Vbulletin doesn't support or recognize any plugins, therefore.... you just don't know.

Shouldnt be too much of a task to re-edit one's post, then resave them.
