Default My review of the FJ S360 Turbo kit

Where to begin.......
In May/June of 2014 i decided i was a little bored of my GTX2867r the turbo was great and made good power but the power plateaued around 6k. I have a really good relation ship with Matt @ FJ and decided to bug him about a turbo kit. The original idea was to swap my gtx28 to a t3 housing and get some more top end out of it. i say original idea because that all changed when @Captain KR; and my self arrived at FJ.

i want to get this out of the way now the staff at FJ is like no other. Fran,Matt, & Cresto did more for me that weekend than i can possibly thank them for.

Fast forward to August 2014
When we got there we strapped my car down on the dyno as is with the gtx28 it made 414/425. This was on 24psi and a pretty aggressive timing curve. We then put my car on the lift and stripped off my GTX28, manifold, dp, and hot pipe. It was then that the decision was made after Matt pulled the s360 out of the box for 30 seconds that i would be using it instead haha. At the time all that was made was the manifold. Which in turn caused Matt to shofer me to various speed shops to get AN fittings/Line and other random parts to make this work.

The manifold and turbo got mocked up on friday, and i kid you not Cresto and Matt were up ALL night fabbing my Downpipe, dump tube, Undermotor Hot pipe(yes fj had this done in 2014 lol), and my connection to the catback . We left the shop at 3am to get some sleep and when we came back it was all there. All we had to do was finish the install.

The install it self is not a bad process. The manifold does require a little wizardry to get in and you will need a second set of hands to pull the turbo up while bolting it to the manifold but really that's the hardest part.

After we finished the install it was time to get some miles on the car. Everything worked the first time. There was a little creep, but it was easily manageable. We slapped it on the dyno and put down 420whp @ 22psi with a conservative 14* timing map.Boost came on later but it carries all the way till redline. I left it at that because i was 9 hrs away from home and a pussy bahahaha. See the dyno vid at the bottom of this review.

So while all this is great the car made power the exceptional part to me is this. I've had this prototype kit on my car for 12 months and over 10,000 miles, and i haven't had to touch this kit ONCE since the initial install. Not one bolt, Vband, or clamp everything just works. I've run it at boost pressure ranging from 22-32psi on my stock motor and never has the kit given me a single problem. The craftsmanship of this turbo kit is second to none. Cresto even with a pissed off fiance, stayed all night, took his time, and made sure my kit was fabricated right the first time.

TLDR: kit is great heres a dyno vid. FJ went above and beyond for me.
