| Not Ranked : 0 score Based on your post it sounds like you dont already have a tuning solution. If that's the case it may be best to go VIP and try to buy a used stock one.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I was thinking about buying a OEM one, but the plastic nipples are weak and I would rather just get something that I can keep. Last edited by byzantines2000; 12-06-2015 at 02:34 PM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I would just get an OEM one at this point. Mine has lasted 290k miles without issue; just be more careful.

| Neutral : +1 score As added advice that was given to me way back when I started to mod...if you're having issues with getting the hose off of the solenoid, make a small incision vertically on the hose to help loosen it and it should slide right off. The hose itself is long enough to give up an inch or two and I think some even come with replacement hosing soo its easier to cut and just be done with it rather than have to buy an entire BCS unit because you hulk handed it.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah, I'll have to remember that. I just ended up buying a new stock one as I have been reading that I won't be able to do much more in terms of downpipe/exhausts yet. I want to get orders to europe and I think I'll stick with mods that can probably pass a emissions test. I'll just nab a tune from someone and call her a day. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score when i bought my ms6. the ebcs was missing. After some searching i found that the stratfield ebcs will work without a tune. I ran one for almost a year without a tune and no issues. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score On a stock turbo I recommend running a bcs in two port mode. When running in 3 port mode you have to disconnect a hose on the bottom of the wastegate actuator and cap it off. That cap is prone to cracking and deteriorating over time. When that happens. The turbo has zero boost control and will over boost. So it's a liability in my eyes. That being said, any of the 3 ports that vendors sell can be run in two port mode and function just like stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My question is in regards to running 3 port on the stock turbo. On my current tune with you, I have the Grimmspeed in 2 port mode, Im about to put in a Gaurdian Angel V3 which will protect against overboost. Since I will be running the GA V3, would you tune me for 3 port on the stock turbo?

I have a Grimmspeed in my 3MPS BK (Mazdaspeed3 gen1) and a Cobb in my CX7. They both have similar turbos (GTX3071R gen1 on the 3 and GTX2867R gen2 on the CX7). To be honest I did not feel any difference tuning them, even though the LEC/BEC tables are a few percents off when I compare them and of course the WGDC tables look different because the cars have different power goals, different intakes and exhausts. As far as I know all these aftermarket EBCSs (CS, Cobb, Grimmspeed, JBR, Stratified, whatever) are based on two electro-valves so you can say that some of the above are pretty much the same EBCS.
