I just sent in my first logs from my Freektune. Not sure how much tweaking there will be, but I really like the tune. Night and day difference compared to the Stage 1 93oct that was provided with the AP.

Default Has anyone tried the OTS plus map(s)?

My DP will be here Monday. But then I need a few tools and some PB Blaster. Probably won't get it in for a week or two. But I am definitely going Freektune. Curious how the revision turns out.

I have approximately 40 miles on my first map now since I've installed the full EGR delete and catless down pipe. The car runs great and has no CELs thanks to @Justin@Freektune; and is awesomely race car loud @ WOT. My idle LTFT is +6.29% and part throttle is -0.78%, but I have seen as high as +7.08% (down from 10% initial). This in total is more positive than my LTFTs were before the mods and new Freektune OTS+ map on the Stratified OTS (+/- 3.91%) so I am a little skeptical of my couplers pre turbo and the plug that I put in my intake manifold for my EGR delete (even though I RTV'd the crap ouit of it). I did check my couplers pre turbo today (checked over fitment and tightness) for piece of mind. I know my LTFTs are technically within spec and I will be taking logs to further dial in the MAF curve (once the outside temps get above freezing later in the week), but I am paranoid of a leak and don't want to send Justin logs with a leak. I did a 4th gear log which is attached. Everything @ WOT looks ok to me, aside from a little spool up knock, but I'm not a tuning expert by any means. Any suggestions are welcome, not sure what do do at this point, should I just do the logs and send them or continue further investigation?

@AwAfrican; I haven't sent him logs yet because I don't want to send him garbage, however it may be that my MAF curve just needs to be tweaked, but I kind of doubt that. I may have to just take the battery box and what not back out and refit the couplers again as suggested by @robbspeed;. Based on the fuel trims and Understanding Fuel Trims & Using Them To Detect Leaks I figured my problem was the EGR delete intake manifold plug or preturbo.

So, can you do your own MAF cal's, with these tunes? Or does he do it for you and they are fully locked?

While problem solving any leaks is key, as for the maf curve, there should be a maf cal log with the first map... Think its 2nd gear 2k-6k rpm no boost (follow his instructions) he'll calibrate your maf, logs following first revisions will look more appealing. Making sure your couplers are seated correctly isn't a bad idea at all

@Atticaz; Justin dials the MAF cal with his revision of the original map after you send him logs and the maps are locked. I'd rather let the expert take care of such things myself. I will be digging deeper and reseating all of my couplers on Wednesday when it gets above freezing here, hopefully that will do the trick so I can send in my logs and get a revision.

Yep. just send in your logs and you will see on your revision how much better your fuel trims are. From What you say it seems like you don't have a leak. After my revision the ltft are the best they ever have been.

6% is really nothing, and it appears the rest of the maf cal and your afr is right on, so I would send in what you have, and I can tighten up that one break point a touch.

Fuel trims can and will wander a little during different seasons, fuel blends etc. So that is something you may see over time and nothing of concern as long as its still staying within about 8-10%

Sorry I questioned your vdyno. It makes sense since you have a 3" intake and 3" catback. I didn't realize until after reading a couple threads just how restrictive the second gen catback is. Particularly the muffler.

If your refering to me, no worries. i really only use vd to show the changes. The settings i use are based on my tire size and the things in the car. Here's a comparison of my final 93 map and first revision of E33 map. thing pulls great.

Im working on getting a couple of rev 2 logs.

Best part is, mileage really didn't go down that much. I can still squeez 300 out of a tank.
and Im only seeing around 85% IDC.

Now the question is what Little big turbo to play with. Looks like Bonus's are going to be a go. As well as moving in with the GF.

I will do the necessary logs tomorrow when is isn't so frigid out, unless you don't think the 10 degree increase in ambient temperature will make a difference on what you need to do (although it may help some with traction). I am really happy with the tune thus far (about 55 miles in) and really looking forward to the revision.

10 degrees will make no difference at all. The tune is setup for temp compensations

Default Has anyone tried the OTS plus map(s)?

Per a member's request I am posting my initial logs after receiving my FreekTune base map. I received a revised map today and will likely run new logs tomorrow after work.

Besides my CP-E S2 RMM, my only mods are the CrokSport 3" PowerSeries intake/tip and the CorkSport HPFP internals.

I just sent my logs to @Justin@Freektune; that I took today. I know it is cold out, but the car does pull really strong on just the base map without revision. I am looking forward to the revision already even though I have less than 100 miles on the current base map.

I can't wait to get this tune. I don't think I should be hitting these low numbers, with my mods, or am I wrong? This shit looks like stock numbers.

**This vdyno was done after driving 35 miles or so. It was 54* and just after a rain. the road I pulled this on was dry.

I'm only on a Corksport OTS Stage 1 +TIP 91 v231

Looks like you set everything up right. You wanna post the log you used so we can see if anythings wrong? It's probably just because it's a 91 octane ots map from cs or cobb.

Wait till you put that downpipe on and get a Freektune OTS+. You're gunna shit bricks.

So I have completed my OTS+ Freektune and I have to say I am very happy with the whole experience. I think that if you are just looking for a hold me over or meantime tune, especially with minimal mods, this is absolutely the way to go. The single revision allows dialing of the MAF curve and having an expert make sure your car is running as it should be.

My car idles great, daily drives nice and pulls very strong and smooth at WOT. My LTFTs are tighter than they have ever been (0% at idle and +/- 3% normal driving) with a minor exception which isn't a big deal (+6.25% at very light throttle) Justin says not to stress over it, but my OCD won't let it be so I will be building a boost leak tester in the pursuit of perfection.

Anyway, Freektune is my tuner from now on and I'll be continuing with Justin in May to finish dialing my 93 tune and then a tune with 2 gallons of in tank methanol!

Curious...What's the diffences between the OTS+ vs a Full custom. E tunes are new to me. Are there more revisions, different parameters adjusted, etc? It's a toss up as to what I want.i figure asking questions will help me decide. My VDYNO's are showing me about 249whp on the CS stage2+tip. Do you think 275 or so is achievable with your OTS+ With my mods? Or should I go full custom?

OTS+ is only a base map and one revision.

And a full custom tune is unlimited then it's tuned.

Just loaded the base map and took her out for a spin. Turned off the DSC and punched it in third. Wow!!

PSI hit 18.4, the same amount as the Corksport stage 2+TIP OTS, but that PULL tho. Can't wait for the revision.

For a quick tune these OTS+ maps kick ass. I'm lovin 320/370 ish. i need better tires to be able to punch it in 3rd. depending on the road surface they'll spin.

Default Has anyone tried the OTS plus map(s)?

@Justin@Freektune; I let my car idle this morning and noticed my AFR is 14.3 - 14.8. Average was about 14.5/6. Is this just because of the base tune? Just wanna make sure everything is good to go, for the logs I will be pulling this weekend. Thanks. I am suspecting that is the case, since I was holding 14.7 w/ the previous OTS.

Never mind. After looking at the logs I sent you, I see that I just didn't let it settle into the idle, before in the previous log. The log I sent you stays at 14.5/6.

How many logs did you run for yourself on your base OTS+ map, before your revision?

Out on a drive to the store I found a flat stretch of road that was 50MPH, that I didn't know was near my house. I got giddy and let her fly!! Allthough, I went full noob and forgot to disengage the DSC, in all the excitement, I was still pretty happy with how she felt!!!

I logged two quick runs in 3rd. These two new logs are significantly different than the first one I sent Justin. The torque was pretty crazy, high....234hp/324tq?? -Vdyno.

The two I just ran were a lot better HP-wise and torque was more realistic. 258hp/284tq and 264/285 -Vdyno.

I wonder if Justin will need me to send an new 3rd gear WOT log?

@Justin@Freektune; if you need me to send an new one, let me know. I don't mind if it sets back the Revision. I have patience.

@Atticaz; i ran a few and compared them in VD. as long as they line up decently send them.
When i know i need to get logs, i hold the dcs button at startup.

Im assuming these are on 91 or 93
