I Choose to, it only makes a difference when the temps are way out there. right now we are seeing temps close to the sae standard. but come summer it will help show a more accurate result IMO.

I just started using Vdyno so I wanted to make sure I was doing it right. My peak torque was 3500 rpm but peak hp was the same rpm as yours.

How in the world can you pull off a 3rd gear pull with a Freaktune and not spin the tires? I was almost traction limited in third with the base tune and had to go to 4th gear logs after first revision on 93.
Now with E30 OTS+ I have an even bigger problem with being unable to wipe the stupid grin off my face. I got mad love for the Freaktune.

Depends on boost taper and tire/suspension.

I think part of it may be the extra data you are collecting. Follow freaks guide, i think only pulling the default parameters.
RPM,Boost, Throttle Position, HPFP, Speed, Act AFR, MAF, Spk adv, wasgate, BAT, Load, LT,ST,MafV, iat, IVA.
I've heard that VD can be finiky

Stock size is the info I put in. 225/ 40 r18

I used the predetermined weight for a gen 2 speed3 so like, 3270 lbs plus my weight which is 160 lbs.

Gear has a huge effect on vdyno numbers. My 3rd gears all hit about 30whp lower than 4th gear logs.

Ok @PurplFox;, I have one more question and I'll leave you alone forever. What size wheels and tires are you using? When I put in the stock dimensions it gives me 25.08 but on yours it says 25.61

25.61 gives me completely different numbers. I'm just trying to see if I'm doing anything wrong.

Something I've noticed, save a screen shot of a graph and reload the same and see if it comes out the same. i have seen different results on the same log

Hang on, hang on. I thought something was weird. I run the same size tire but when I put 225/40 r18 in, it gives me 25.01 instead of 25.61 like your says. When I manually enter a tire size of 25.61 I get about another 10 whp and that puts me at 285 whp.

So is my vdyno tire size selector thing fucked up or is yours?

you have to remember that the 25.61 is stock for a 215 45 tire. stock on a gen one. i run a gen pu tire so it computes differently i guess

Well then you need to re enter the your tire size correctly to get a proper reading because you're no longer running a gen one tire

And don't forget, just because you have the same mods does NOT mean you will make the same power, each car is slightly different in the way it responds. Plus the maps may nto be identical, I know justin played around with my timing during revisions, not to mention the log air temp, tire slip etc. Will be different. While yes you need to correct tire size the only way to truely get similar dyno results would be to go on the same dyno one after another. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Are numbers should be close because we have similar mods and a similar tune and our logs look very similar. Yet he was showing about 15-20 whp over me. I believe 10-15 whp of that is do to him using an incorrect tire size because when I use the size he is using I get within a few whp of him.

All im saying is he needs to change his tire size to what I'm using.

i input my tire size, Ive saved my profile so that i can just select it. VD is more for showing change more than hard numbers.

When the right info is entered and a correction factor of 1.01 is used, vdyno comes extremely close to actual dynojet numbers.

I'm just glad we got this figured out.

Even tires with the same size. 225/45 18 can have different diameters. Look up your tires on tirerack and check the diameter.

Also graph time vs. speed from your run. Flat spots indicate wheel spin.

10hp difference in VD of all things is negligible. You can even hop on a dyno one day, then hop on a different day and see 10hp difference.

I also use smoothing 6. (the highest smoothing on VD) That rules out any bumps or anomalies. Sure the numbers may be lower with that smoothing, but its most accurate when comparing one revision to another

All logs when using VD also need to be on the same day, same road, same direction, and same start point or results will vary

Just purchased an OTS+ map to go along with my Damond full egr delete and CPE catless downpipe I will be installing this week. I am excited to see the results compared to where I am right now. This OTS+ map will be holding me over until May when I go for a full Freektune plus a full tune on 2 gallons of in tank methanol.

I received my first map already after ordering it on Sunday night which is about a day and a half turnaround time (pretty awesome). I'll be installing the new parts on Thursday and loading the new map. I am already liking this single revision stuff, since he is asking for different datalogs to dial maf cal, etc. Really looking forward to the results.
