I'm going for a smaller plenum and slightly longer runners with my setup. Thats a really cool looking manifold. Thanks for sharing!

As of right now I am building a manifold for myself and one to go to a friend. I will have to see how the manifold performs before there is any consideration of more being made. The fab shop who is doing my welding will have a jig made up and could continue producing them in the future.

I don't have that stuff drawn up. I am going to have to figure that part out after I have a complete manifold.

Runner flows 304cfm wide open and 281 with the stock port plate against it.

The 3d printed version is pretty rough so a smooth aluminum version should flow 5-8% better. Not bad at all.

I am going to test out one more revision to see if I can get another 20cfm out of the setup.

I am getting very close to ordering parts and having stuff machined.

Nothing as of yet. I have been trying to figure out the best way to cut the runner tubing evenly, accurately & repeatably. My best option is a miter saw with a metal cutting blade. This way I can set the angle precisely for my cuts. I should have some mock up pictures this weekend.

More manifold progress.

Had a drill guide plate cnc cut so that I could precisely position the velocity stacks in the plenum. The same plate will be used to measure / mark the holes for the injector bungs and fuel rail drilling.

I've been playing with runner length and angle and it seems that 4" is the longest runner I will be able to make fit with the space allowed between the head and the radiator support. I 3d printed some oval tubing to mock up and measure things.

Also i noticed that there is a ton of space between the top of the oem manifold and the hood, almost 6 inches of free space to go up.

This allows me to run a 12 degree runner angle. This will raise the plenum only about 3 - 3.5 inches above the stock manifold height. It should clear the hood on the speed 6 and on the gen 2 as well.

I always knew this manifold was going to be for fmic only and would require custom charge piping. But the point of doing this was a no compromise / perfomance first manifold.

Next step is removing my manifold and doing some in car mock up work & then off to welding.

With the under route piping kits available now it's OK to make the manifold a little different. Looks good!

That angle is going to make all the difference in the world. Especially if and when your start flowing fuel through it.

The way I have it currently mocked up, the top of the plenum would be even with the top of the valve cover. There would still be 3 full inches between the plenum and the hood. I suspect the genpu may have less clearance. I need to take a peek under the hood of a pu. I want a design that fits all 3 variants.

I'm interested to see where on the runners you're planning on putting the injectors. With the runners pointing down towards the valves (pointing below x axis), having the injectors spraying at a very acute angle through the runner would be best but may make it awkward to weld the bung on at such a small angle.

Anyway, I'm sure you've already put a decent amount of thought into it. Can't wait to see the results, this thing looks like it's coming together awesomely! Keep up the great work!

Angles. You want to avoid angles between the head runners and manifold runners.
Jmf mani has a horrible angle.

I'm in the process of re-wiring my garage with a 60 amp sub panel so I can run my big ass powder coating oven. It was supposed to be a simple, half day project. 1" conduit running from the house, 1" conduit into the garage. So I figured it's pull out the 10 gauge stuff and run some 6 gauge.

Nope!!! The conduit is only sticking into the ground at the house end and at the garage end and there is direct bury wire running under the ground not inside any conduit.....

So The hard part is over. I had to rip up sections of brick patio and rip up deck boards, but I have a trench dug out now. Time to wire it up the right way.

I was planning to pull my manifold. & do the final pre-weld mock up on the runners & plenum this weekend, but it's not happening. Need to get this garage finished up. Being without power in the garage sucks!

Wow, that's a lot of extra work to dig up & replace that cable not in conduit. Glad you're doing it the right way this time!

i bet he doesn't bury the cable himself the first time ? Here in Qc, you need a special nmwu cable to be buried in the ground with insulation resistant to bugs etc or you can use the normal NMU if a correct sealed conduit is used...

More progress.

I had to order up a bunch of material so I can make jigs and tooling. I want to be able to easily replicate these manifolds. I have the heat sink for the head flange all drilled and tapped. Runners are cut but I am going to make a drill guide to put the holes for the injector bungs in them prior to getting welded. A simple drill guide to position the injectors the same place every time is going to make this easy in the long run.

Some other parts are being machined as well now.

Just don't make the JMF mistake of making the injector bore too long, and block the spray pattern. This occurs on their meth version IM for sure. Don't know about the PI version. Injectors do typically spray a tighter cone than the 45* cone of a meth nozzle.

Meth bungs are totally unnecessary considering the runner thickness. Of the JMF at least. Yours is likely the same judging from your pics.

I checked how the Injectors seated on my JMF V2 with the full CNC lower and it seemed to fit really good. I don't see how fuel would be blocked when it sprays. I have no saw the CNC lower half with direct port meth yet.

good to know their PI version is engineered correctly...but then there's the meth version...

From h.h.sk1nny's build thread

JMF as shipped = drip

After he ground down the meth bungs
