The later, more or less. We do plan on always stocking them though.

TB spacers on carbureted and TBI cars can help to mix the air and fuel mixture. On a EFI port or, in our cases, direct injected engine, they have no real effect. It adds a little bit of plenum volume, but it's so small it's insignificant.

It'll add to the butt dyno though, so in that sense, you should buy one

I can't see the original picture for some reason, but is there any chance you'd be selling it with a TB TIG? Seems like a good opportunity for people to install a TB tig since the TB has to come out.

TIGs are pretty useless for the TB. If you want to keep cool that area, just do a coolant bypass. Free mod too.

We have no plans to offer a thick, insulating, TB gasket. As Matt mentioned, we don't believe there's much benefit. Additionally, their intention is to reduce BATs. Our testers are already seeing BATs low enough to make them giddy.

Pre-order on the Damond Motorsports Throttle Body Spacer with 6 injection ports ends tomorrow! We've received great feedback from our testers, and we will be releasing the plates very soon, and sending them out to all of those who've pre-ordered. Pre-order now while you still can, to guarantee a TB Spacer upon release! Mazdaspeed 3/6 TB spacer with injection ports PRE-BUY | Damond Motorsports

Question, will the Devils Own low profile holders fit the spacer on a stock manifold or is there a recommendation for holders to use?

I was able to get the nozzle holder to fit... tooks some extra work more info here...

this was with the JMF spacer. I am still waiting on the my DM one to test it out.

ms6mil Dual Nozzle Meth Install

I'm assuming the spacers are about the same width. TIG and additional gaskets will definitely make the job easier for stock manifold

The holders that you had would have made the fitment much easier. The DO were too rounded and didn't fit well.

Dumb questions, if we are to just use one of the holes, what's gonna happen to the rest? Are we given something to plug it close?

Also, will this work with my Devil's Own Stage 2 nozzle?

You're right.... dumb questions.

The holes are obviously used to vent unused meth to cool down the rest of the engine. Also, only Devil's Own Stage 4 nozzles work.

What a lazy post. Click on the links provided above and/or below

Most kits use either 1/4 tube push to connect or -4AN threaded fittings. -4AN specs shown below.

Can be used as a nozzle holder and is 1/8 npt for both fittings (both sides)
-McMaster-Carr

Nicest of all the push connects I was able to find here:
The nicest water methanol injection nozzles and fittings

http://www.snowperformance.net/82204...eck-valve.html

Can be used to switch from 1/8 npt to -4AN threaded fittings

Ok. this is too awesome not to have it. Since I'm going to rebuild my motor this winter this spacer is a very neat solution for the WMI nozzles. So I couldn't hold myself from purchasing it

Can you get the spacer with threads to suit the aquamist system?

I am pretty sure the aquamist ones are 8mm x 0.75

They do sell this adaptor but I think it is designed for thin walled intercooler pipes and I am assuming using this would ruin the spray pattern

You are correct. Aquamist is the one nozzle that uses an ORB seal (M8 x .7). As much as I like their solution better, the TB spacer is designed to work with the masses, and is not available in straight thread. Their adapter is made for exactly this sort of thing.

Thread necro!

These should probably be used in a system that has solenoids, in order to prevent the engine from sipping on meth right?

My thought has always been that a solenoid should always be used as a safety device for this reason.

I doubt that this location has much of a different risk for leakage than any other. Are you thinking that being behind the throttle plate creates more vacuum? Or just less protection from leakage? I'm curious what factors you're considering.

I believe u need more then 16 psi worth of vacuum to trip a check valve and at most I think u can get to engine braking is ~12 psi (read by ap).

So if your check valve is bad then yes it can siphon.

Personally I wouldn't run a setup without a solenoid (post pump) and use a check valve to prevent siphoning the remaining meth that is present between the solenoid and nozzle right after WOT.

Hopefully the throttle body gaskets from JBR will fit.

Yo @Matt@DamondMotorsports; @Farhan@DM;

I just bought one of these. I can't find a single front or top installed pic anywhere. What do clearances look like for the nozzle/holder in top and front mount positions? I am trying to see if I can fit both low profile nozzles/holders in two top positions spraying down. Oh and I don't have TMIC.

(REVIEW) Damond Motorsports TB Meth Injection spacer

Might be the best you get. Obviously pretty hard to get pictures in there.

Note that, per some customer feedback, we've thickened it a little bit since that picture for a little more clearance. That shouldn't affect what you're looking at it for, though.

So, unless I am mistaken, there really isn't a path besides bottom mounted really is there? Front facing side is blocked by throttle plate motor assembly, top side appears blocked by the manifold runner and throttle body and I don't imagine there is much clearance on the back side. Has anyone successfully got them on the top with a combination of fittings/nozzles? Underside wouldn't be my first choice tbh just because I can't keep an eye on the fittings.

I bought a couple of these, I don't even think they'll thread on without extensions. It looks like they will hit the throttle body ears when attempting to thread them on.

I ran this plate for a while with Devils own nozzles. It was very tricky to fit because of the thick holders. I ended up selling the kit to go a different route.

Fast forward a year later, I'm trying meth again with the same plate but snow performance nozzles and holder.
