Default Damond Motorsports PCV plate

We're happy to announce that we're coming out with a PCV plate soon. Along with a whole mess of OCC and dual OCC options, so you can crank your case til there's no oil left.

Key features:

-Main thing with our PCV plate is that it can use an OEM PCV valve. We designed the PCV valve port to the exact dimensions of the OEM PCV box, allowing for a perfect fitment of the factory PCV valve and o-ring. The main reason to use a PCV valve is to meter the amount of air pulled from the crankcase under vacuum, keeping it as a sustained level, especially under WOT to closed throttle transitions and engine braking, where manifold vacuum is at its highest.
-OEM Gasket, you can reuse yours, or opt to have one included
-Two 3/8" NPT ports for fittings, plugs, checkvalves
-Anodized with engraved DM logo


Price is TBA, but it won't break the bank. And there will be options, to add a PCV valve or use the one you have, plugs, fittings, gaskets, checkvalves, whatevs.

I'm going to be working on a full blog/forum post on different PCV and OCC configurations, and updating the ones I have, so keep an eye out for that.

We're getting them anodized, and we'd like to hear y'all's opinion on what color you'd prefer or feel looks best. Hence the poll.

As long as it's cheaper than the damn perm plate.

I'm glad you're going to be able to put to use all the data you've gathered on the PCV system over the years.

You haven't found any problems with the PCV valve binding or getting stuck while being sideways?

There are multiple answers to this, and how you use it is completely up to you.

We consider the stock PCV valve as a way to meter air, in addition to it's function as a check valve. We generally don't like a wide open path from the crankcase to an IM under relatively high vacuum. Therefore, the recommendation would be to utilize the normal function of the PCV valve and system, and use an additional port for added venting. You've then effectively addressed crankcase venting issues in boost, and in vacuum.

There do exist the minority for whom that isn't enough venting. They will see benefit from a third port. You don't need a valve cover breather, a new hole in the valve cover, or any other added port. It's already there. If desired, put a check valve on it, and run a hose to wherever you want to vent it.

Of course, for those who prefer the PCV valve left out, the plate can be the normal, dual vent plate.

All the options, fittings, etc. will be available with this.

How do you plan on preventing the intake leak that will happen then you route the hose from intake to vta can?

Theres a checkvalve under the breather on the can. Forgot to draw that in. Good catch!

I think black is the obvious choice, but using the same gold as the mounts would be nice, if you're going to offer options.

Yeah we're going to do both. It doesn't matter all too much what color it is, cause it's hardly visible.
