Thanks so much. That will really help. We have been able to say enough clothes to get by, my insurance company is working to find us someplace to live. But when 13000+ home are either gone or unlivable, housing is tough to find.

Joe is going to be working on finding more belongings. He is staying with his daughter and family, but is looking for a home to rent for his wife and Shephard.

If any locals know of a house available or space, pm me and I will share you his #.

He is going through debris, and I am checking with him if it is possible to get help. Any local volunteers? Supposed to be raining there today, too.

So locals, check in with me if you can help at all. Thanks!

Glad Joe is being taken care of. I couldn't imagine sifting through debris to find personal belongings. That is really a fucked up feeling. I know Socal MS3 lost her house to a fire last yr and probably did the same thing.

It is good to see something like this set-up. It is nice getting to see exactly how your donations are spent. Kudos to @Raider and @Haltech for putting it together and a big thumbs up to those that are helping in any way that they can.

There has been a lot of tragedy in the world lately, be they forces of nature or the doings of evil people. Little things like this are a great reminder that the world is full of amazing people that simply want to help others.

To make things worse it was raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock today. Thunderstorms are in the forecast through the weekend. Those poor people are isolated and will be for a while. It takes a bit for the authorities to open things up for safety reasons.

They get nothing from MSF.

If anyone local to the area knows of n organization not in the news, but making good work there, post up their info. I will research em and go from there.

I found a couple good ones. One was faith based, and although they claim 100% goes to the cause, I just cannot give $ to churches. The other I am still looking more into.

I don't trust anyone, and I do not expect anyone to trust me, TBH.

In the Senior Admin Section, every day (I did this for Sandy too) I uploaded screen shots of paypal showing all donations, and the spreadsheet as well. Everything is accounted for.

Wow I had no idea that these threads have been created, however I am no way surprised. This forum is truly unlike any other I've ever seen. Matt Damond is correct I do live in Moore and it missed my house by about a mile. I was out of town but my wife and kids were still here. To really put things in perspective for you guys the children that lost their life in that school are in the same district as my 3 boys. That day though I was out of town Moore Public schools sent an automatic message to all parents that they were keeping the children in the school until the storm passed. As I'm sure the parents of the children who were lost felt, I actually felt a sense of relief because here, the schools are usually community tornado shelters. What safer place could your kids be right? Yeah that was a real reality check when the images of those schools started showing on the news........

My wife and youngest son was here in the house as it passed. Had she been standing outside she would have seen it pass to the south of us....That's how close it was! As we landed this afternoon I got to witness first hand the devestation this thing left in its wake. We flew over a neighborhood that one section was completely wiped out



and the other section of that same neighborhood, basically untouched.....



To me this Russian Roulette effect is what makes Tornados so scary....

.....I do have one friend who lost his home. However, he was blessed in that he was in VA at the time. Moore Medical (the hospital the news keeps showing that was hit) was where my youngest son was born. So tonight, as in every night since this occured I am just counting my blessings and giving thanks. None of my immediate family or friends was lost but I pray for those in my community that this directly effected.

MSF words can not express the gratitude.........There will be more to come from "ground zero" here in Moore...But right now, I just want to spend time with my family. Special shot out to @MATT DAMOND this guy is something else, he called me after it happened telling me he would personally come out to help if I had any damage.....he pointed me to these threads......Man, thank you Matt and MSF from the City Of Moore!!!!

This morning, the okc are has received about 6" of rain in a few hours and were having flooding issues in some areas and they are predicting rain all weekend also... I know I wasn't personally affected by this but it is amazing how this forum is like family and are taking care of people that they don't even know... It really touches home... Thanks...
