cp-e nano....nuff said |
Corksport SRI/TIP Fitment is great and quality is great. For the price you cant beat it. I will remeasure the MAF dimensions I had before and post them up. |
Corksport. Love it. Great quality, great price, great sound. |
I had the CP for like 5k miles and car started acting up. put the K&N SRI on there and solved all the problems. great feel, quality product and ive never been a K&N fan but it definately is a great product. would never buy it new though way tooo over priced. |
Trey what codes were you getting? |

The Aem SRI aka Corksport SRI has a crappy Dryflow filter. |
do your prefer oiled or just dont like the AEM filters? For example what about CP-E's Dry filter? |

I've seen a bunch of cars with cpe intakes and all seem fine. Im gonna start to take pics to show you guys what I mean. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk |
I believe it, just wasn't sure if you preferred oiled for some reason. |
Oiled filters do perform better then dry, but oiled has a little more upkeep to it because you should reoil it every 10 to 15k miles |
^ Didn't know that. I've got the k&n sri, oiled it when I put it on. Have had it on for about 1.5k miles, no code yet. We will see though when it starts to get colder out. Lowest temps I've seen so far have been 50-ish. I wish it would get warmer out, because when I shift from 1st to 2nd WOT with the dsc off, my tires just chirp perpetually in 2nd until I let off the gas. I desperately want CP-E to release their engine mounts because this kind of tire hop is just ridiculous. It's probably down to the weather though, but this has happened twice in 50-60 degree weather. I checked the RMM and it's bolted down tightly (cp-e 75 duro), so I dunno. |
I've got the CorkSport SRI/TIP and I love it. Absolutely no CEL's or mechanical issues for about 2k miles. Install would have been hard if I didn't my grease monkey friend. But I don't think it would be any different for the rest of the SRI's. The only issue I'm having is my TurboSmart BOV is rubbing a tiny bit on the silicone part of the filter. I've tried a lot of adjusting of the silicone pieces, but nothing seems to work. |
I've had the Cobb Tuning SRI and TIP installed for about 9k miles now and no CEL's or anything.. My only complaint is Cobb's bracket broke the spotweld to the battery box. One of these years I need to find someone with a welder to fix it, but other than that it's great.. |
Wish my dealership was cool with an intake upgrade.:sadwavey:If I ever get a work truck I won't really care... I will be buying the K&N Typhoon SRI. +24HP without a tune. |

Just bought my SURE Aeros today... |
Just installed my cobb sri in today....went to the dealership with my old stock air box(07 ms3) swapped out the cobb sri...put in the stock airbox and then installed the cobb sri at my house after i got home....it takes legit...20 mins to take the sri out and put the stock air box back in....so far i love the intake :) but i only have 280 miles on the car so i havent pushed it past like 4500 rpms yet lol |

Again, I am sure there are a few stealerships where this doesn't happen.. |
no i know they do my dealership sure does....they used to tell me about how they would spin 2nd gear in my old 3 lol...what ever...they break it they will fix it...they never have given me any warranty issues and they installed my dp lol still didnt void my warranty lol |
Nano for the victory...ridiculous quality...excellent sound...great performance |

Anyone running the corksport tip see a need to heat wrap it? I notice that cpe and cobb use silicone to control heat soak but cs uses an aluminum tube. seems like wrapping it would lower IAT. Am I crazy? |
It's not worth the thought, time, nor money. If you're worried about IAT's, get a fmic or at least a larger tmic. |
Sure Motorsports SRI 5 Attachment(s) Just got my Sure Motorsports black/black SRI. First, Streetunit is awesome. Ordered it Wednesday night, shipped Thursday morning, arrived Saturday morning at 9 installed by 9:45am. n00b review: -I can hearz mah turbo!!!!11!! -BPV goes PSSSHHHH11!!!!11!1 -Butt dyno reads over 5000HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!11!!1 -RoRo says it's "ain'tNOhater approved" Wife's Review -Stop you're gonna make the dog puke -Why does it sound like your engine is about to explode? Normal Review -The packaging is really nice, almost like they stole it from Apple.(yes i hate to say that) -Build quality is really good. I have no other aftermarket intakes to compare it to but I might stop by SpoolMe's house tomorrow and see what he thinks since he has the CP-E intake. -The adjustable arm is really nice, I had to adjust it and it's a very ingenius idea. -The filter is pre oiled, not dry. -No CELs WITH DRY FLOW FILTER!!!! -I measured the ID of my stock MAF sensor housing exit at 2.678". The Sure MAF sensor housing exit is tapered. I initially measured 2.725" but after going back and getting the caliper closer to the exit, the number changed. The picture below is the 5th reading in a row to get that number so I'm more confident in 2.750". My guess is it's ~2.678" at the MAF sensor and tapers out to 2.750" for the exit. The last picture below is my attempt to show the taper. I'm definitely sold on Sure Motorsports and plan on buying their stuff in the future. I also put the free SU and Sure stickers where they belong, on the tank of my toilet. I duece 2x as fast and my toilet now has a super maelstrom effect!! On the car: Attachment 74414 Attachment 74415 Stock MAF sensor housing exit: Attachment 74416 SURE MAF sensor housing exit: Attachment 74417 Trying to show the taper in the SURE MAF sensor housing: Attachment 74418 *update* The pre oiled filter that came with the SURE Aeros gave me CEL issues. They started showing up after I posted this. After talking with Mark at Streetunit he send me a dry filter and it no longer gives me a CEL. There is still an ongoing debate on whether or not the LTFT & STFTs given are still acceptable. |
Thanks for posting the MAF diameters. I have a list ready to go with all of the intakes that I could think of ATM. If you guys post up the diameters here, I'll add them to the OP. |
Just put my SURE SRI/TIP on yesterday. I would say the same thing as MS33SM. Puts my old Corksport to shame and based on my trims flows a lot better! |
Pics? Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk |
Ill upload some later, have to go install my OCC and change my oil. I forgot to remeasure the CS MAF before I shipped it, maybe someone else can. Im pretty positive that the SURE is larger. |
Thanks for the review!! I'm really digging the new SURE products!! |
