HOW TO: search the forum So I know that this is some really simple shit, but I feel like it needs to be done. Wasnt sure what section to throw this in but anyways... All of the people that are posting things with topic lines like "smoking turbo?" and "do i need internals?", might be searching but just not doing it right. So I am hoping to fix this. Its no secrete that the search function on the forum sucks ass. That is why you need to harness the power of google to do your search. This is how. In the google search bar type this if you are looking for, lets say, a thread on CDFPs Code: site:www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum cdfphttp://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d.../searching.jpg It really is that easy. If this can save one person from the brownie flaming wrath of msf, then I'll be happy. |
This should be put as a Sticky in the new member's thread. |

Stuck for sure. Ask most fucking n00bs, they think you just post. Then get all pissy when told to search. |
This is a hypothetical, and I'm just throwing it out there, but.... What if someone made the search function functional? It's crazy, i know. But sometimes you need to think big. Sent from my LG-MS690 using Tapatalk 2 |
Yeah, I have to advanced search or Google to get the best results. |

iIuse advanced search all the time. It's not ideal with the issue of only being able to see one page but then again regular google is not that difficult. It is a problem with people being lazy and wanting instant gratification. |
It wouldn't take much to add a site specific google search box to every page on MSF would it? Heck, if M6C can do it.... Nevertheless, I swear by the site: tag, is my preferred choice, and I use it daily in my bold attempts to sound intelligent...... |
Yut....I just type "mazdaspeed _______" in google. Money shot every time. |

Google war fighters....RAH! |
Great Post! |
Google site search is my preferred, only problem is it can't search vip. Not an issue too often, but does come up from time to time. Would still be a problem even if google search was integrated into the site, since that is pretty much just a regular google search with an implied site: tag. tapatatapa... DROID 2 Global... etc etc |
