The ECU is tied in to the cruise control system, I'm sure (these cars are drive by wire, after all). Maybe holding down the cancel button or something is an option.

I think you can just disable the codes for the secondary O2 and that should do it.

I think this has been brought up, but any way to increase logging resolution. I know turning more Parameters of helps, but it still seems like the resolution of the AP is higher with similar numbers of parameters logged

High speed logging is definitely on the list.

There are some DTCS that are handled differently in the rom. We are working on masking them.

How exactly do the Warmup Enrichment tables work? The reason I ask is because I set the decrement for them to 0 (up to 60 F) so it won't remove enrichment until my car is at 60 degrees fahrenheit (I run lean AFR).

Thing that has me confused is that at idle it works fine and the AFR is richer to where I set it, but as soon as I start driving the AFR targets my values from the closed loop table (no enrichment applied). Is there anything I can do to make it target the closed loop value and then apply the given enrichment at all times until the required temperature is reached?

So, where is the great (announced) benefit of these tables if they only come into play at idle (which is less than 1% of all driving conditions)?!?

Since my engine runs noticeably unsmooth during the first few minutes but not directly after startup, when enrichment is max.

I personally find when running lean cruise my car runs really rough until the engine coolant temperature reaches approximately 55 - 60 degrees Fahrenheit, that's why I was hoping I could apply the warm up enrichment values to my requested AFR until the car is warmed up to the right temp.

These tables are meant to be used for cranking and afterstart until the chambers get warmed up enough to get good atomization. It's not for long term warm-up running. Once closed loop operation starts, trims are based on O2 sensor feedback.

^^^ This is what I thought it was for too, not warming up the car faster. Yeah, it's annoying driving the car around when it sputters like that, but it also shouldn't take long to get to a temperature where it starts to run good again.

Maybe in Arizona it doesn't take too long, but during cold Canadian winters it can be a fare amount of time.. Lol.

Maybe leave the heater off for a little while until the car heats up? Should warm up faster that way.

Steve i think you and i have discussed before, but what about actual AFR and PSI values as apposed to KPA and lambda?

Also when i was playing with my tune last night, i noticed something about boost based logic in there but wasnt used. Whats the deal with that?

They have found some tables for boost based tuning and they just have them avaliable(for now it is useless unless they make an option for boost logik tuning)

The ECU has native boost tuning capability. It is disabled by default and load based tuning is used. Some people prefer the simplicity of boost tuning. If you fully understand how load based tuning works, it is very powerful. We exposed the boost tuning tables for reference. They are not used in any way when the ECU is in load based tuning mode.

Personally I prefer load based tuning; it's way more reliable and consistent.

I have no issues with load tuning at this time, but i was just curious as to what it was is all. They arent set to any relevant values right now. More just informational.

Encountered a small issue though. When trying to save a log with the preselected filename it fails because of the timestamp includes a : between hour/minutes/seconds. Get a Invalid filename error

It also fails because of slashes in the file name. Bit of a pain.

-Anyway to incorporate a way to see what tune is currently flashed on the car? Or perhaps adding a line on the individual map with a flash date.

More than once I've mad revisions to a map in the middle of the night and then forgot to flash it the next time i went to my car. And then days/weeks go by and then I can't remember which revision is actually on the car. Shit I'm getting too old.

-Also, I've noticed when exporting a datalog to CSV it seems to cut off some of the parameters. I'd have to actually look and count but for example there are 10 slots to live datalog but when exporting them to CSV form it only exports 8/10.

I took a bunch of short logs today and did not have this issue with 12 parameters.

I don't remember the exact # without doing it myself. But if your going to test it load up as many parameters you can and see if they all export to CSV.

Question: Can anyone help me generate a logcfg.txt file for gen 1 MS3? It is the logging file needed to run Tactrix Open Port 2.0 on-board stand alone SD card data logging.

I am data logging my gen 1 MS3 with a laptop software program called ScanXL Pro with Mazda PIDs. It has very low resolution via USB dongle.

I recently purchased a Tactrix Open Port 2.0 which operates with a J2534 interface and has an internal SD card for stand alone direct data logging that can then be later downloaded as a complete csv file. No conversion needed.

To activate the data logging it has to have a logcfg.txt file loaded on the SD card.

I am ignorant of how to write the script for that file to log our engine parameters.

I did find a file out there on the 'net, where someone developed a log file for a N/A Mazda. It is attached. It is configured to start logging at a certain pedal position reflective of WOT and stop when the pedal is lifted.

The file runs, but most of the data other than time, rpm, LTFT and AFR is either irrelevant or is reported inaccurately from our ECU, or is reported in metric units.

I'm looking for someone who can write a logcfg.txt file that would activate the particular corresponding PIDs for our cars.

Ideally, I'd like to have a logcfg.txt file that would log the parameters that would work with Virtual Dyno.

I don't know if anyone here uses Tactrix Open Port 2.0 for direct SD card logging, but it is very fast and convenient, and seems to be supported by VersaTune.

If anyone can offer assistance, it would be appreciated.

If available, a complete list of parameter names would be more useful. That looks like a pretty simple config file. Sweet find. Can you post one of the data logs that you took with it?
