Rock vs Fog light

So i had a rock smash into my driver side fog light and shattered that shit. the stealership quoted 238$ for one fucking fog light i mean seriously. Ive been looking around for some alternatives and would love some help if anyone knows of a cheaper one id be greatful, i did find this and if anyone could tell me if this works for ms3 ill just go with this. Thanx and heres a pic, i know everyone loves pix.

i did a lil more research with that site i posted and those are the part numbers for the ms3 fog lights so i may get those, ill give it the weekend and see if anyone else comes up with anything

if i was a ricer i could go with the really cheap ebay fogs with the halos

Looks like $238 is the msrp and the dealership doesnt want to cut you a deal. I am not sure if anywhere else has it cheaper, you can get the oem housing here for $164.27.

Dealership is such a joke for the price to replace one. Mine still works just cracked.
Im going to get some lamin-x or tint for it. Shouldn't be able to notice the crack.

put it on other thread about fmic. found one for $123 or $175 with bracket and a grade for condition. if the drivers is the left side. got one for myt 08 for 85 shipped from them and yes it is a actual glass oem. its a listing to online junk yards. just call and verify everything.

relax cow pie, your wording wasn't very clear. Mistook what you said, as the lights on the speed are the same as the regular 3s

When they did my clear bra, they put on some fog light protection. I would say it's probably 4 times as thick as the clear bra itself. No way a rock is going to break the lens with it on there. Get it and don't worry about them breaking again!

my only advice is make sure they are glass. all the ebay gen 1 fogs are plastic cheapo aftermarket. you might be surprised to find out that is plastic as well and oem is definately glass on gen won

i think they switched to some hard plastic on the new gens bc if it were glass there would be nothing left, theres a hole and by the way its cracked leads me to believe its plasic

Pretty sure the fogs on gen 2 are glass. Seems pretty thick but my driver's side fog is missing a chunck on the top side. I got lucky and it's not cracked. Happened at some point before getting the clear bra installed, so I had them cover the fog lights also.

Seems like a common issue unfortunately.

Honestly I don't remember having a choice. I don't think they are the 40mil though. They are as thick as a few sheets of paper if that helps.

I meant the stock fog lights are not very bright. On a dark road with only the fog light on I can't see anything!

ok just a lil update, i ordered the fog from ebay which is supposedly actual oem fog light so well see when i get it in later this week it was only 103$ shipped so not bad at all
