(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Any opinions on this noise? I'm fully mounted by corksport and I definitely hear the gears spinning at idle, when the clutch is engaged. When I disengage it, the noise goes away. I've read that's normal for fully mounted cars. However, this may or may not be linked. When I shut the car down, there's a noise that follows the same pattern. Thusly, I always disengage the clutch before turning the key off. | Not Ranked : 0 score I always depress the clutch pedal as well when I shut my car off because it sounds like a bag of smashed assholes if I don't. Yours sounds a bit different than mine but I've never tried held my ear up to the engine bay when shutting my car off. I'm always inside the car. My car also makes the funny noise when it's in neutral idling. Everything I've read says these noises are normal on these cars.
