What does the car sitting have to do with the meth system? My car sits sometimes a week at a time and never had a issue. I think sometimes it may drip a little but no real issues from it.

Being my Only car, I didn't want to take the risk of having a check valve fail and have a drip for a week and come back to a flooded motor. Plus I don't like the idea of my car sitting in my sketchy was neighborhood unattended for a week.

Bump for updates! How's the stock longblock holding up? Mark's tune seems damn solid on this car and you're making me want to run a JB 5862 over a JB 6266 lol

I ran a 5858 on the stock block at 22psi from 124k to 161.5 miles. The block was fine, but I wanted more and was scared to with that high mileage. The stock block was pulled with 180 psi compression across all cylinders at 161.5k and transplanted into another car, which is still running great today.

My friend had a spare block and head and built me a bottom end (88mm Manley platinum series pistons, Manley h beams) and refreshed the head. We left the balance shaft in tact and just did all new oem gaskets, bolts, head studs, head gaskets, water pump and timing gear, etc.

That was done in a weekend and the built motor went in a day after the stock block was pulled at 161.5k. My car is now at 196k miles or 34.5k on the built motor. The 5862 and meth went in 25k miles ago and has been running 28psi since. Taking it to the dyno early next month to have Mark dial it in a little more and then I'll leave it be. With stock head studs and a stock clutch (because I drive 1000 miles a week for work and need life out of the clutch and put 50k on my old 6 puck in 11 months before it quit), we have to keep the tq down. But whatever. It's fast enough for me, and has been reliable for the most part. Sitting right around 475/400 right now according to VD, which I take with a grain of salt.

Word man, I'm going to be running it on stock bottom end and pump gas with some meth for maybe a glory pull on the dyno while I have a stock longblock built. Hoping for 550whp with 6th Port, Freek headstuds and a new OEM clutch and Fidanza f/w setup. Any new vids of this thing pulling on the built longblock?

Tune is complete. HTP 3.5 inch intake is damn near maxed out. Slow boost ramp down low to preserve my clutch as long as possible until I get a daily and can upgrade (stock clutch lololol) . Completely stock head including head studs. Crank isn't keyed, either. Very pleased with the outcome.

Probably the most nerve racking moment I've had in a while. First compression test since the motor was broken in.

Stock clutch finally started slipping at the end of last month when I hit peak tq. Not bad considering it spent 152k miles in an ms6 before being put in my car at the last minute to get to ENM 2015. It's been in my car for almost another 75k miles.

Picked up another act 6 puck. Went with the prolite flywheel. Had no issues with the Streetlite Flywheel for the first go around with a 6 puck, so Fuck it.
Clutch is here! Install date is tentative for Sept 10th.

Holy smokes, surprised this thread was still on the 1st page of all the build diaries, I haven't posted here in forever

Anyways, meth kit, Cobb FMIC were pulled recently.

Replaced with 6th port with Bosch 2200cc injectors, and aeromotive 325 stealth pump, and a tr1235. Car needs retuned and a grill made for the bumper and I'll see if I can stay happy til end of summer lol.

First pull with the 6th port turned on. Time to get dialed in for when the weather wants to stay warm

Yeah... I lost traction in 4th gear at 100mph on 255's...

Has nothing to do with the boost curve as it sits right now...with it holding 20psi to 5500, then climbing to 30 by 7200.

Anyways, this is just a rough map to make sure the 6th port was working as it should. No we gotta dial the fuel in and boost curve back to where it was last summer on the meth. Looking forward to getting the mid range back. If we can make a similar curve to what I made last year at 500/391, I'll be happy

Do those RS3's hook up well for you? I've always thought of those as more of a turning tire.

I'm load limited to hit super low boost in 1st and 2nd gear, and have no traction issues there. 3rd gear it'll spin up top if I dont have some heat in the tires, as it see's full power there. 4th hooks fine, though.

For me, they work as my tune is setup well for traction, and I do take the car through the twisties locally. For others, maybe not so much.

Wow, 10 months since I last updated this.

Grabbed a jmf v2, added PI, upgraded to L19 head studs, went to a stiffer wg spring over the winter and spring

Tune not 100% finished, but hopped on the dyno to see where I'm at. 87* ambient and 108* charge temps

Solid power for this tired motor and turbo
