All the kits use BP-10 Wilwood specific pads except for the 13" big brake kit. That has Hawk pads at the moment but will soon be able to accept Wilwood pads with a little changing around that's being done as we speak. For the bias, I'm not 100% sure on this. Obviously, it's going to be closer to being more even with grab, heat, fade, etc but there's no measurable data up to this point.

There is a 13" big brake kit with 4 pistons for MS6 priced at $1650. At this point, this is the only option for the MS6 but a caliper kit should be available soon. I'll keep you guys in the loop on this. I think I may have said wrong in the OP about MS6 kits available, I apologize if I did and I will modify the OP.

A couple other things we've come across that will help with decisions...

We have test fit the 13" MS3 Front BBK to a stock wheel and all you need is 5mm spacers to clear the caliper which is actually better than what I expected. This was done on a Gen1 so we'd have to check Gen2 for clearance, also.

The 2 piece rotor assembly is actually 5.8 pounds LESS than the factory rotor PER ROTOR. That's a huge rotational mass weight savings. We haven't done a ton of brake comparisons so maybe I shouldn't be as surprised but I'll say I was definitely pleased with this.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you!

Looks like I did say the correct kits but that is what it's limited to for MS6 currently. We'll let you know on the caliper kits soon.

While dreaming, how about two piece rotors for the front and rear in stock form factor?

I've seen these kits by themselves on other sites but never all together, thanks for making me notice the hole burning in my pocket....

So the front 4 pistons for the PU. Do I need to modify anything to get these to fit?

I was planning on stainless steal lines and some new pads but fuck that 4 piston calipers with everything included is 10x better.

Yes, I too would be interested in 2 piece lightweight rotor setups, for use with stock calipers. I have been looking forever for this, and the only option was a custom setup with a minimum of 10 orders

Obviously, it's going to be closer to being more even with grab, heat, fade, etc but there's no measurable data up to this point.
So the REAR kit uses these same pads?

Questions to ask:

Which of these kits will fit the stock Gen 1/Gen 2 rims WITHOUT spacers? Be it one, two or all?

Is a wheel fitment template for them available?

Is there an equivalent DBA5000 2 piece Rotor that will fit with the 13" Kit?

AAH IM CUMMING

Package deal with front and rear?

I could of sworn I had heard something about how rear aftermarket calipers wouldn't be able to retain E-brake so this is a very nice suprise (:

The only thing we needed to do for the big brake kit was to slightly shave the 2 front facing ends of the steering knuckle a little bit so that the caliper bracket could mount flush with the bolt holes which was part of the instructions, so it was expected.

Yes, the rear uses the same pad compound, if that's what you're asking.

Sick... willwood 4 pistons for the front that dont cost an arm and a leg. was on the fence about CS 4 piston brakes but i think this will be the way i go.

just wondering why dont the other kits show up on ur website when you do a search for them. it just shows the willwood 6 piston kit and ksport ETC but no 4 piston kit.

Can you post a pic of the 13" 4 piston kit and the cost

Wilwood 4 Piston Front Brake Caliper Kit for Stock Rotors Mazdaspeed 3

This is the 4 piston kit comparable to the CS kit that was recently released. Do you want the 13" kit with the 2 piece rotors? That will be on the site soon.

If this is the case the gen2 wheel might clear without spacers as it has more clearance than a gen1.

Maybe I missed it but what are rear options, if any, for the 6?

just wondering why dont the other kits show up on ur website when you do a search for them. it just shows the willwood 6 piston kit and ksport ETC but no 4 piston kit.

Can you post a pic of the 13" 4 piston kit and the cost
This is fixed. You should be able to see all kits on the search by car, manufacturer, or part functions. We'll post pics of the 4 piston 13" kit when we get it in.

Did you guys help develop these kits?

I'm wondering if there were design limitations to using Wilwood's Radial Mount options vs. their Lug Mount calipers, or if the choice was more price/cost-driven...

Q: What advantage is there in having a radial mount Caliper over a lug mount caliper?

A: Radial mount calipers and brackets offer a much more rigid mounting system than a lug mount design. The radial design also accommodates rotor diameter changes with a simple spacer rather than a whole new bracket. A customer with a 13” rotor kit that wants to upgrade to a 14” rotor would only require longer studs and spacers rather than a completely new taller bracket.

Yes. lol

I'm guessing space constraints foremost as well as price.

Also, as much as we like to kid ourselves, Speeds Racecars

What do you guys think:

I already have the StopTech BBK (in black) up front and will be installing these Wilwood rear BBK.

Is it gonna look lame having the StopTech logo on the front and the Wilwood logo on the rear?

I'm debating on spraying over the Wilwood logo so the calipers are all black.
