Default FULL RACE MANIFOLDS!!!!!

Hey guys, the Full Race MZR DISI exhaust manifolds are now available for PRE ORDER for a few weeks out!

I ask the question as Edge usually has been less than the manufacturers number for the components I have purchased lately.

Since you chimed in then please answer the other questions concerning MOC. I also have not seen TIG welding performed by an automatic for pipe bores this small and especially on the flange to pipe welds but there are several processes I have not personally seen.

You are correct I cannot compare the two as I don't have both EMs sitting in front of me for simple visual inspection of the welds. My only comment was to the cost not the quality but thanks for your insight.

JP how long do anticipate the offering to be, I have a couple of large ticket items this week and next.

I'm not bashing RB, I'm just supporting Full Race because of their hard earned track record. After all, it's that track record and the amount of satisfied customers over the years that REALLY makes gives their warranty it's value.

I haven't seen enough RB products go through the paces to say, but the best warrantied parts are those that never have to use it...

I've had plenty of warrantied parts break and need replacement over the years building cars and all the headaches of removal, reinstallation, and downtime could've been easily and GLADLY avoided had I chose to pay the premium for a superior part initially.

That's a T25 flange for the 6258, 6758, and 7163 EFR turbos my good man.

From what i've been told, FR uses a much different shielding gas mix than most people do (most traditionally use 100% argon, or slight mix with helium. Because of that, i think they're actually required to use cnc tig welders, rather than welding by hand.

But i'm sure the finish welds, like collector to turbo flange, and runners to head flange are done by a human. At least most likely.

this 899 price will prob last forever because when they figure out that they have only sold 3-5 manifolds after a few months they will understand why.

i cant speak for the quality of this one vs RB but at almost double the price, i would take my chances on the RB. my DNP is fine and its been almost 4 years. unless your looking at some crazy sidewinder, 800+hp build, a manifold is a manifold IMO.

You know they do good work on other platforms, and their manifold's truly perform fantastic. That's why you would buy their manifold. Right?

It's the same thing with Full Race. They do amazing work. They've invested in state of the art equipment to build state of the art products. They do their design homework to make certain the final product performs as intended, and if it doesn't, they re-design til it does. That's how they've earned the rep they have, and why they're regarded so highly in other platforms.


And i'm by no means whatsoever trying to say FR >> RB, or that RB isn't a quality manifold. I'm not as familiar with them, but they look great as well. I have no clue how the guy can sell them for as cheap as he does without completely neutering his margins, but hey, that's his secret. The real proof will come months / years from now, after lots of miles and abuse are put into the manifolds. And if they stand up to the test, then lucky us! Having yet another quality option is never a bad thing!

I'm curious to see if their price / quality will change once a distributor starts slinging lots of them. Edge certainly has the ability to move product, but hopefully not more than RB can provide.

your argument is fair but scotts mani in stock form (no bells) is closer to 600. the reason i would buy his is because some of the profit is going towards him and he has put the time and effort into this platform and deserves some back.

not to say your design wouldent be as good or better but its the same thing with the CPE injector seals. PTP had identical designs but i bought the CPE version because i knew i was supporting scott even though they were more expensive.


the point here is the FR manifold is not even close to the same price as RB and your not getting anything else except for robotic welds and a name brand. an 11sec DSM and 11sec BMW are tens of thousands of dollars apart but in the end its still an 11 sec pass for both of them. no matter how u slice it there's no justification for this price.


when the midevil manifolds first came out they were 875 and i LAUGHED in their faces about how no one would buy them. aside from the drama that happened with them, no one ever made any more HP with one then they did with a PG/DNP.....
