TMIC????

hey PTP, do you guys have your own TMIC ready for sale? Or maybe do you stock the ETS TMIC? I'm looking to pick up a TMIC very soon here and would like see what my options are. I know ETS' are out of stock everywhere else but I was hoping you might have something for me.

I've got an ETS, 3.25". Took forever to get. I haven't heard anybody with the PT product. Anybody have it? How's it work? I've heard rumor that PT's is just a rebranded ETS, but, the shroud in the picture does not match the ETS -- the shroud looks like it fits better and is welded on. Mine has air gabs and is screwed on. So, it doesn't look to me to be a rebranded ETS.

When I ordered my ETS, I was recommended to get the 3.25 instead of 3.5 as the 3.5 supposedly hits the top of the duct and therefore actually gets less airflow than a 3.25. I see that the PT is 3.5 and so I'm curious about what PT has to say about the thickness issue.

I am in the same boat, i also would prefer a top mount over the front mount,
and would also like to hear the .25 vs .50 and what other TM options i have.

also will a Intercooler sprayer fit on top of a top mount? even the .50?

We have the 3.25" units in stock. I don't think we are going to be selling the 3.5" anymore. They seem to heat soak to much.

There is a huge felt difference and we picked up 4 MPH with the top mount on the car. Dyno numbers show 15 to 20 WHP and 30 WTQ just about every time.

Go with the .25 unit and don't use an intercooler sprayer on top. We have seen this go bad a few times with getting the top of the valve cover full of water and it starts making its way down into the spark plug tubes. Then you start getting spark blow out and end up ruining a coil. If you do this make sure its a very very fine mist of water that ends up hitting the intercooler and make sure it doesn't start accumulating (sp) on the top of the valve cover.

Its the ETS unit with the proper heat cover/shield on it.
