Priming engine

I would like to prime the oiling system after installing a new turbo and the car being parked since January. I was planning to spin it over with the starter in stages, giving the starter a break in between. I was going to just jump the start relay and leave the fuel pump and ignition off. Would I possibly be doing damage to the hpfp by not having fuel supply on?

Why not just hold the throttle to the floor while cracking?

Yeah pinning the accel pedal while cranking will turn the engine without the fuel injectors firing.

Edit: it works on the 3, don't know about the 6.

Holding the throttle to the floor works on every car, it puts it 'clear flood mode' which does as @802MS3; said.

Would the car not possibly still start? I'm attempting to get the car lubed up...when my seals went in the turbo the car drank a lot of oil. I think I was able to shut the car down at the point between starvation and catastrophe. Just wanted to get some oil passed around first.

It is a possibility, but you can also pull the relay for the fuel pump just for extra assurance. You could also unplug the coils, as well as hold the pedal to the floor.
