So it has came down to a hard decision that I cant make on my own. I want to build my motor and go big turbo and follow the trend. I would greatly appreciate this community's honest opinion. So that you know where I stand with my car and its mods.
2008.5 MS3 9000 miles Dynoed at 255hp and 305tq stock boost with out the TestPipe (dynojet)
Mods: Intake,TBE,HKS bov,wotbox,MBC (18psi),spin on oil conversion,TRZ derlin mount,Greddy catch can with high temp lines, A POS Smoking Ko4.
So I guess what my predicament is I don't know what to get next I only what motor mods. Heres my list;
GT35R, Meth kit, Turbo mani, CPE SB, Pistons/Rods, Tail EWG, CPE CDFP, CPE FMIC, CPE Flash, HKS ignition, ECT.
Those are my choices. I have $650 cash what route should I take save my money for the turbo or get some mods out of the way. I'm not feeling like this motor is to strong in the back of my head I feel its going to blow. IDK

well i would buy everything that will lead you to your eventual turbo goals. 650 isent much money as your talking atleast 8K worth of goodies on your list. i think if ur going big turbo you really got just do it all at once.

hmm... might want to talk to palerider to see what kind of deals he has to stretch that money a little bit

you could probably get either the SB or FCF and then save briefly for a meth kit shortly after for a little more than 650 combined there... apparently, people around here say meth adds 40whp!!!

Yeah thats a tough decision I know 650 isn't much but thats what I have so far I'm thinking a Cpe SB and a Meth kit or just save for a turbo ???? I'm so stuck dam

like other members have said, if you save for the turbo, you're going to have a big turbo, but can't put it in cause you need pistons, rods, whatever else. i'm not too sure on what goes into building that thing, but just the turbo might not get you anywhere.

as mentioned, you could probably get the sb or fcf.
out of curiosity, what are your fuel pressures like?
do you need the fuel pump now?
it might behoove you to upgrade that sooner than later especially considering all of the mods you want on this car

The reason I say turbo is because thats the most expensive item on my list and I feel I should just get that out of the way. I plan on doing my build by July so I have some time. Wasnt whoosh supposed to come out with a piston/Rod set????? I don't have a dash hawk so no data logs.

You're already scared about your motor popping. If I were you, I'd add the meth for additional safety. Then Id get the standback. Then I'd save up to build your engine, because it's going to be quite a bit of money. I would buy the turbo last.
Honestly, you have to wait a few hundred miles after you build your engine to break it in, you could always swap to the bigger turbo then.

there will be a set of P3/whoosh rods & pistons available very soon.
They are sure to impress and I'll say that AMS uses a similar set up......

start tuning your car now with current mods and continue that as you go adding other power mods when $ is available

After all this I was at the sema show and I just decided to leave. I put my cash in the bank. I paid down some credit cards. Im going to take a break from spending money on my car and try to buy a nice house. (The responsible thing.) Im happy just killing some evo's and sti's for now from a roll duh
