(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I just got my mazdaspeed back after installing a GTX3076R on it and since then i've noticed some overboost over +/- at 4500RPM (28 Psi). I have a safe map from freektune that I believe the boost is limited to 12-13 PSI and from the logs i see that the WGDC is at 0 during all the WOT. Any advice? faulty EBCS or maybe the Wastegate? Thanks |

Based on what I can see in that log, don't go WOT anymore until you figure this out. You're completely maxing out the injectors, fuel pressure is dropping, running very lean, with very high counts of knock. What mods do you have and what fuel are you running?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score ATP GTX3076R, 4" HTP OEM Intake manifold ported Built bloc (wiseco & K1) with L19 (stock head) Full race exhaust manifold 3" CPE downpipe Upgraded HPFP TR8 frount mount intercooler with JBR piping Yes i've double checked from grimmspeed website to make sure it is. What if i plug the IWG to the boost source directly? that way i should be able to see if the WG is not working? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score sure you shouldn't redo that, not even once....i did a lot less than this for 2 logs in third gear (few second) and i blew a ringland!!! You must look at boost and knock and lift off as soon as you see that! If you really need to drive the car, maybe you can disconnect the BOV/BPV vaccuum to cancel any high boost and adjust your gaz pedal to avoid any overboost... Before grinding the WG, i would find an air tank with a pressure regulator and adjust it to 20-30 psi to activate the wastegate and make sure it open properly To make sure the creep isn't because of a vaccuum piping error, i would connect a pressure hose directly from a pressure source to the wastegate. (removing the EBCS completly) If EBCS is blocking the boost path going to WG even if the tune say 0wgdt, it is like 2000% WGduty...Then test it slowly looking at boost and knock (Maybe in higher gears) and stop as soon as boost exeed let say 18-20 psi Do you know what was the rating of your WG spring ? Winter and gt30 IWG = creep but it is a bit large to be juste a matter of WG size...unless you got a 25psi wg spring....(My gt28 catless was mecannically overboosting of about 1psi maybe 1.5 at the worst worst case with a 17psi spring rate)

![]() All of those flow mods with an IWG are a recipe for boost creep in these cold temps.
