I also bought a computer and the next week there was a better one out! And they wouldn't even offer to buy mine back so I could get the better one. Damn them to hell!

I will be curious what the "real" price is going to be. I assume $650 is msrp. MSRP now is like $595 right? Who pays that?

Never mind the money and shipping time. How much of a pain in the ass will it be to unmarry the old AP and install the newer version, especially if people have 3 bar map sensors and big turbos?

Will ATR still operate the same way?

Will we be able to load our old tunes onto the new AP?

just save the map(s) on your computer and transfer to new AP via AP manager...
worst case scenario...open map in ATR and resave to new AP.

Sounds like you'll just have to resave your current map(s) in a fresh download of atr, since it's locked to the AP's serial #.

What about those of us overseas? :p
Would be a week (at least) each way for me to send my V2 in and get a V3 back...
Hopefully I can buy a V3, and once I get it, send my V2 back for a refund..

Was thinking the same thing. But as long as I don't have to pay the full $650 (just got my AP a couple of months) I'm getting this V3 for sure, tired of switching between parameters when live monitering.

$350 is to much for a trade in. I am pretty certain cobbs cost on this has got to be around 100 bucks. Maybe 150. When u buy an ap 2/3 of that cost is to software and rd not the hardware.

200 would be awesome 250 I would still do it 300 would be to much

Old AP + $325 gets you a new AP, that's what the trade in deal is going to be according to the people I've talked to. Now what I didn't get is whether that AP has to be unmarried or not. That would be the best option, if the new AP could just overwrite the old flash that would be sweet. But otherwise, the downtime between uninstalling, mailing, then waiting on the new one will be way too much for most people. And the number of people that can just slap down $650 and wait for a refund will be way less than the number of people that can afford $325.

I don't know if this has been said. But V3 will not make you more power, therefore not making V2 obsolete. Pros of V3 vs V2 as far as I see is, resolution, monitoring and looks everything else is the same. Oh and if it does not go on landscape, it's a big fail.

Just putting that out there for our smart brothers and sisters.

Good eye! Looks like you can adjust idle and timing, as well as ffs and lc. That would be really useful at the track or the strip.

It kooks real nice, but more gauge displays doesn't account for me spending more money for something that's not changing the tuning process. And all those gauge readouts aren't necessary anyway, who looks at that when they are driving? The best feature is the on and off switch, lol..

Good time to be shopping for AP v2 hahaaha

I almost bought one for $360 but the guy didn't unmarry it. I'm assuming prices will drop to around $300.

I don´t think price will drop that much. Its just the run yet, because everybody wants something NEW! It´s a good moment to buy a used v2 now, people are thinking that price will drop when v3 is out and try to sell their v2 as soon as possible. The funny thing is, exaclty this leads to low prices for the v2, because so many get sold. After a few days, when the most units where sold, price will increase again and people get pissed because they have lost so much money with their brainless sale

Everybody just chill out and wait till it gets released. I would also wait till the first tests where done. Maybe the first units will have some design flaws, wich are unknown yet...

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so many choices ... honestly i don't really care.. as long as cobb doesn't pull a xboxone/apple/ripoffdeal/microsoft/dumb and make you pay more money or start over with a custom tune with v3 (atr) ... as long as everything is fully functional and swappable .. so people who use v2 stuff can flash v3 and vice versa... like playing old games on a new computer . This whole situation isn't a big deal as long as cobb doesn't eventually force everyone to buy a new one for some reason... it will turn into a ALL HAIL COBB! .. and every cobb fanboy will stand by their product.. come on guys lets state stuff here that everyone wants.. who cares if it has this over this.. talk about what matters...

Other than that, the price is just a personal opinion (I think the new one should be 595 like before and the old one is around 400.. like when Apple/HTC releases a new phone). As long everything is interchangeable, price and everything else is not a very big problem; it is more a personal opinion.. i just feel no one else has mentioned this yet. Amen
