Cobb is like every other company, they want to sell a product and make profit with it. I think there was a lot of work done to realize this new v3 and did cost lot of money. And Cobb took also care about all user requests ( on/off switch, larger screen, multiple parameter log...). So be happy that Cobb releases such a great product for our platform. Thank you Cobb!!! New v3 is instantly bought! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Not to be a naysayer, but I'm probably less excited about this, seeing as I own a v2. Realistically, those of us currently with an AP are looking at spending a lot of money on something that's basically prettier and only marginally more useful than the one we currently have. Yes, it's really cool looking, and the bigger screen is nice, and the on/off button is nice, but as far as its primary functions (ie tuning the car and taking logs), it does the exact same thing in the same way. OK, it's faster flashing, but I'm usually not in a huge rush to flash a map when I do it anyhow. Functionally, this seems iterative rather than revolutionary. No bluetooth, no on-the-fly flashing, no new ways of interacting with the ECU... The best part is the gauge readout, but you could conceivably spend a lot less on an ultragauge or something like that for the same basic function. Bottom line is that it doesn't make the car go faster than the v2 does. My first inclination was to sell my AP right now and get this one next week (cause it is really sweet looking), and depending on if there's a group buy and what the price is I may still do that, but for me I'll most likely spend the money on other upgrades first. That being said, it looks awesome, and if I didn't already have an AP, I'd be getting on Aug 1, along with a dozen roses for when I explain the purchase to the wife.
