Good color within engine bay? MS6

I have a red speed 6 if it helps (engine bay is red)

Kinda wondering, I just finished priming both the intake manifold and the valve cover. What color should I make them? Really torn between an aluminum gray, or a darker bronze dark gold kind of color (red and gold look alright imo).

You guys think doing a gold type paint would look too ricey?

Aliminum Gray. Like new OEM. If you must change color, how about a wrinkle texture satin black? Bright colors seem like rice to me.

The only reason im really meh in black js because it'll make it harder to see if there's an oil leak. I'm not talking about a bright gold that'd be terrible, more so a very dark satin sort of gold. Thanks

Any time I had dirty engine parts off, I cleaned and repainted them an aluminum/silver or light gray color.

I painted my timing cover and oil pan a color called "Cast Aluminum". It's not quite as sparkly silver as the aluminum color. I'll have to find the pic. I think it's on my other device.

light colors help to see oil leaks source lol Black is bad at that.

Since i'm not washing my engine bay every week, flashy colors and cleared parts are worst with dirt on them.

I personally likes the wrinkle paint red or black for the VC. It remember me older engine at time they don't hide it with plastics....
Don't forget you may need to sell it someday so a softer color choice may help.

Just me personally, I think that bright colors are tacky. Thats why I went with silver, actually it was called aluminum oddly enough haha. I don't have a good picture of the engine bay to show everything I painted so far, damn TMIC ruins it.

Sorta off topic, I had a 03 Grand Am back in the day that I painted the calipers orange because it looked cool but the upkeep on them to keep them looking good sucked and painted them black. I now paint brake stuff semi-gloss black. Its way easier if you run in a situation where you have to replace a caliper or something quick in the winter, you can just rattle can it until you have time to put the good paint on it. Im even anal enough to paint the hats and vines on rotors black if they arent already.

When I serviced my rear brakes, I painted the calipers black. If/when I upgrade the fronts, they will be black.
