Default Damaged JBR PSSM

Got the 70A PSSM from JBR this week. Banged up a bit. You guys happen to know if this would be something that damaged the mount?

It was packed in a standard, small priority box with some paper and that thin styrofoam wrap. It hit something hard af.

COBB's packing of their catback was pretty bad too. Couple of zip ties and loose cardboard holding things down. Same thin styrofoam. Big dent in the resonator and an easily noticeable bent exhaust tip along with random dings and scratches...and I'm pretty sure a hanger mount was welded upside down.

Is this a trend with these guys or am I just lucky?

It’s kinda a trend with them. Won’t effect performance.

I am not sure what you're asking:

A) Would bad packing be what damaged the mount? Well that and incompetent handling by Americas finest USPS... There isn't enough storage on this forums servers to list all the times they have ruined my day one way or another... but that's for a different time.

B) Would the ding pictured damaged the mounts ability to do mount work? Nope sure wont...

Have a girlfriend/wife, or are you a girl? File it smooth and get some black nail polish and cover it up, you'll never notice....

Yeah I would not worry about it. If it bothers you could open a claim I guess but IMO its not worth it. I would just touch it up but it is your money.

The drop that caused the ding is what I was concerned about. It was a good enough fall to flatten that corner and poke a hole through the entire package, clean through the invoice, the sweet JBR sticker, paper and the box.

If it's more than an intake upgrade, I'm a noob and doing this stuff for the first time. If the mount's seals can take a hit then I'm not too worried.

It doesn't bother me too much. I was just looking for trends and if that hit could hurt the part. Thanks man.

You can't get most of these parts locally. They're a few hundred miles away. I've never ordered from JBR. I have ordered from COBB though, this is the first time I've seen that kind of packing job from them.

Yeah, I'm sure he can just go to his local Target and pick up an exhaust and motor mounts.

Or maybe you could offer to be his personal delivery boy.
