We always try to offer value for our parts so I don't see this part being outside of what most other large intakes are going for. We haven't gone over the complete Bill of Materials yet though, so I can't give a solid price quite yet.

We just test fitted on our new 2013 to do a bit of checking. I believe a few of the engineering guys had it on the dyno at some point today as well. I'll see if I can learn anything more.

Final production prototype are almost finished. Then final fitting and testing and then we can start building them. We'll be using a larger MAF and our MAF's are all 1 piece (which nobody else does) so production takes a little longer but you get a much higher quality MAF out of the deal.

I don't have a firm release date yet. We're making sure that there is no differences between prototypes and production units. So it's going to take as long as it needs for us to make it a part we would buy.

So not to be an asshole, more or less just playing the devil's advocate.

What does this intake, which looks shockingly similar to two other intakes already on the market, offer that said shockingly similar intakes do not? Or is corksport simply hoping it saying corksport on it will make people want to buy it?

I'll admit im an HTP fanboy for that very reason (sorry JBR), but at the end of the day, if theres not really any functional difference... just pick the one that looks pretty you know.

I'm not intimately familiar with HTP so I cannot speak to their intake, I will just say a few of the things I know about ours.

As far as I know, we will have the only 3" intake with a one piece MAF housing. Most others are welded on, bolted on or otherwise modified. This prevents possibilities for warpage, or leakage. We can confirm it will fit with our battery solution which allows for a full size battery with a 3" or larger intake. Other than that, I'm just waiting for the silicone vs. metal debate to start back up lol.

Yeah, my HTP units have had MAF housings welded, always nice to bring something new to the table i suppose.

What about air straightener? I like the fact that HTP is one solid aluminum piece but was not a fan of the inner bead roll to hold the air straightener. Hate to say this, but I liked SURE's OEM style air straightener but not even close to thinking about paying $225 for it. I like JBR's new intake but I dont want the silicone intake incase I switch from K04 to something bigger. Waiting on CS to release this to find out if my search for 3in intakes will be over.

My HTP intake has a slight bead roll and seems to be brazed in place. The screen itself will likely create more restriction than the bead ever will.
