Side note, Its been a week since I called and tried to use my "store credit" and still nobody has called me back

I will be calling again tomorrow to yet again attempt to use my credit to purchase a new Forge V2 BPV. I was really hoping this would be a smooth transaction.

Haha, right on. I took the photo with the camera on my Galaxy S3 so it murked out the contents a bit.

Kelly the next batch was supposed to be ready last Friday so hopefully it arrives by the end of the week.

i like CS as a company and have some of their parts installed on my car. however, the fact that they had so many reported problems and no one could figure out why, other than the BS response of "installation error", combined with the fact the true problem lies in the fact that they GLUED TOGETHER a car part is completely and totally hilarious...

to me...

as an outsider...

with a fully functional DIY setup...

for a fraction of the cost...

i feel for you guys, though.

I can easily understand your points, I get where you are coming from. The error was mostly just based on a step of manufacturing that didn't get properly QA'd, there were documented cases of improper installation (and in some cases there are still some being installed incorrectly) but that is neither here or there.

The facts are the facts, we had a part that didn't get made to our quality standards, we realize that and we are shipping out the new improved models that are much closer to our ethos and we're actually happy to take the hit and prove to people that we will put our money where our mouth is.

If you ever get a CorkSport part that you're not happy with, contact us and we'll make it right, period. I recently posted a blog about some of the processes we go through when designing a part, we design, we test, we have others test for us, we test more and we have meeting after meeting about how to get it right and get it out to people that want it. I think if my wife knew how many meetings I went to every week she wouldn't believe me. That being said, we only want to make parts that we would want on our cars. We will never put out a part that we won't stand behind good or bad.

That being said, I'm here; I don't have a lot of time to spend on the forums but I will be here to talk to anyone. Every manufacturer is going to have issues and failures, it's unavoidable sometimes, but I appreciate that CorkSport and some of the other major guys around here (JBR, etc) take the time to address us all directly. It speaks volumes of your customer service over some.

Alright well my car is down and I drove it from Colorado to Alabama... and it is down due to the catch can... the lid did not blow off but all the oil from the vc and the block are just going back into the tip, i did drain the occ and about less then an inch came out but that was after 2k miles of driving. I have to leave in a few days and kind of need this problem fixed asap so I can drive back to Colorado.

Just sent in my order and WTF!?!!! I have a pending charge in my bank account for $172.75 after my points and shipping and I'm pretty fucking sure my order hasn't shipped less than 5 minutes after I sent it in, especially since you guys aren't even open yet. Needless to say im pretty fucking pissed.

A charge and refund isn't exaclty the same as "we don't charge you until it ships".

I believe it's a automatic pending charge. Happened to me when ordering their turbo-back. It should be removed once they open and sort through things. Remain calm.

John, No charges have been made. It doesn't work like that. When you provide payment the payment method is AUTHORIZED not CHARGED. Much like when you purchase gasoline, many places will authorize at least $100.00 and many banks will hold that amount until the final amount is CHARGED. I can appreciate your concern, however, I never fail to deliver on the things I say. Your card will be charged for $33.75 and an invoice is being emailed to you shortly. In the future it will be much easier to contact us by phone or feel free to use my personal email (joel@corksport.com) I am pretty good at staying in touch and can usually be reached and even check a lot of communication methods on nights and weekends.

I just installed mine a couple days ago and I was extremely disappointed with the cheap rubber hose advertised as "reinforced silicone". Pure fail!

It is silicone but certainly not reinforced and flatens out quite easily.

my shit started kinking up today and my idle has been all out of whack. gotta get it back on the lift tomorrow and figure something out

With the amount of hose they supplied there's no reason you should have it routed in a way that it kinks. My tubbing has no kinks in it anywhere and is routed in a way that it's tucked in and not just hanging.

One thing I did do that might help has to do with the PCV. I didnt feel like trying to pull the rubber hose off the PCV so after I disconnected the house from the manifold side I installed a 90degree hose barb and ran the silicone hose from that. Eliminated the possibility of breaking the plastic PCV and a hose kink.

^you can get the barbed fittings at Home Depot on the cheap. I did this with my OCC, but got a barbed brass fitting that was not bent, and works great too.

And when you go to remove it, and the barbed fitting is stuck in the hose, do NOT pull on the hose, unless you want to take the intake manifold off to remove the fragments of the PCV valve while the car is up on ramps.
