Nice! I've always considered these "upgrades" as nothing but rice and another potential problem for stock turbo cars, but if the faster response will add some longevity to my turbo I'm all over it.

Hmm, interested in how these will perform/sound. Might end up switching if the results and the price are good.

Is it safe to assume that this will be a blow off valve only, and not a hybrid valve?

It looks like a bypass only in the pics, but they're calling it a blow off valve. They even explain the difference in the blog post, so I'm curious as to what this is going to be.

@CorkSport; is really good at teasing us this summer.

30% smaller = 30% less material = 30% cheaper right?! Well played CS. Well played.

I like how you use the factory o-ring; I don't like the paper gaskets of most aftermarket units, because more times then not, the flange and/or BPV isn't that flat so it's an open invite for leaks around the base.

What's it sound like?

@Joel@CorkSport; Noob question: Is the explanation that you give for the performance difference explanation of this BOV (if that's what it is), an explanation of why your new product will still be a smart option for K04 applications without loss of power? What I mean is, it has been discussed at length that unless your BT & require the extra venting, BOV's have arguably been frowned on for stock turbo use, performance wise, and have only rice value. Are you saying yours is different because of its different mechanics? (Again, this is assuming that your repeatedly calling it a BOV is because it is just that). Thanks for any info, I can only infer from your write-up on your blog page. Obviously this is moot incase BPV/Hybrid.

This valve is designed to re-circ. but like others have said, it would be pretty easy to cap the inlet pipe and vent to atmosphere. This valve works great on the stock turbo and is especially helpful if you are raising the boost.

Cheers,
Joel

So...still meant to be run in recirc mode for best results for our platform if running K04 then? If the price is right, I'm def down for this in a nice stealth black.

judging by the pic it looks like you can't change the direction of the recirc part. that can be problematic for some. I know a lot of valves don't offer a way to aim it, but with no n OEM style flanges you don't need to worry about that. I have to change my bpv's angle by a few hairs so the recirc hose doesn't kink up with my setup. regardless of my own personal needs, this looks damn sexy.
