| Not Ranked : 0 score just reading through this thread now and i saw your post and it seems no one really answered you. The answer to your question is No, rich AFR's lead to better spool as turbo's spool time increases with heat. When you have a richer AFR, there is more fuel to burn, therefore longer burn, therefore higher exhaust temperature. Another way to increase spool is to have relatively low ignition values (in the spool range) to allow the combustion to take place at a later time, once again creating more heat in the exhaust gases. The GTX28 really has no issues with spool time. In my case, i purposely slow down the spool up to avoid high torque numbers. Edit: i thought he was on a GTX, im sure the GT28 spool times are not much slower than the GTX
