| Not Ranked : 0 score Here's an interesting tidbit. Here's a boost curve from vdyno bewteen a BNRs4 with JBR piping and HTA3586 with stainless steel hard pipes from a UR kit. See if you can decipher which is which. These were taken in the same geographical region on the same day within 30 minutes of one another.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The piping was tested at 40 psi for continuous periods of time much longer than a wot pull. Burst rated at 150 psi. We haven't seen any problems for the two years they've been available. HP is not effected nor is acceleration. Lag is increased a a wee bit. The graph is not really apples to apples. Two different turbos and likely two different tunes. We've been tracking our shop Mazdaspeed 3 for two years with no issues. Lifetime warranty = nothing to be concerned about. |

Was pressure varied on the test or just held at 40 PSI? Does the tubing hit a maximum expansion point or will it increase with pressure? Fully expanded are there clearance issues (i.e. sharp, pointy or abrasive wear on exterior of tubing) During fault analysis/testing what failed first? the tubing or the clamps? It doesn’t surprise me that it expands, couplers do the same thing but to a much lessor degree. Thanks!

Test pressure was reached in the first 15 seconds and held for the remaining 30. Testing was performed at 155* F. Temperatures below 300* F have no effect on the burst rating. Max temperature rating 500* F. Maximum expansion is reached at ~18psi Clamp and hose failure never occurred during testing. Bust rating is given based on hose diameter, layers of silicone, layers of reinforcement and other data collected based on use by the manufacturer over many years of being in business. Piping was designed with clearance taken in to account. Rubbing can cause failure and must be mitigated by the customer. Failure due to rubbing is not covered by the warranty. | |

So not having this kit, do the directions for installation indicate how much clearance is needed do to expansion to avoid rubbing? You did pulse testing which is great, really what I was asking about, but clearly some are a little shocked by the expansion and covering this in the install doc would (should) alleviate those concerns.
