(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Whats up guys I just installed the SSP, along with an SRI. I originally installed it at the shortest throw setting, and it felt good, but a little bit too short for me. I adjusted it earlier today to the longest shift setting, and 5/10 times it grinds going into 3rd. Mind you, this is with the clutch all the way down, and slow, easy shifting, I'm not banging through the gears. Am I missing something? I just don't understand why that would be happening, I've searched and some people have reccomended getting a lighter shift weight. Not sure how this helps Any advice would be reccomended, the short throws are sweet but not when it grinds!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Its not a problem of not going into gear, its just straight up grinding.. plus Im wondering why it only grinded when I put it in the longest setting, versus the shortest setting with no grind

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just try the adjustment procedure and see what happens. You don't have motor mounts in your sig you really should get a RMM at the very least.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I highly recommend putting in XT-M5-QS tranny fluid. I did that right after I installed my SSP and every shift is buttery smooth now. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks guys for pitching in and helping the OP. As mentioned....Adjusting the shifter, changing the fluid, and motor mounts should clear up any issues regardless of the amount of throw reduction you choose. It's unfortunate that these things need to be done but, it's a well documented problem with these transmissions. What's even more frustrating is that some cars have no problems and some do. You could also try setting it somewhere in the middle and see how it performs. Thanks, Jamie |
