The JBR 3.5″ IAS OE Wide Path Full Intake System is the only solution for those seeking unrestricted flow to the stock OE, 2.25″ turbo inlet or the GT 4.0″ turbo inlet. The one piece design eliminates the need for unnecessary couplers and the joining of multiple sections that increases turbulence and friction which ultimately leads to reduced airflow. The thick, 5-ply, wire reinforced high temperature silicone is far superior at insulating the intake air from extreme engine temperatures. This translates in to lower boost air temperatures and more horsepower that no full aluminum intake can accomplish. The 3.5″ Wide Path OE IAS Intake is capable of flowing over 300 g/s on the stock KO4 turbo consistently at WOT with the proper tuning.







The JBR IAS MAF housing includes an OEM style Integrated Air Straightener. Our unique design has no volume or flow reducing impact like the others that use pressed in straighteners that create a lip and reduce the inside diameter of the housing. Honeycomb air straighteners, the beads rolls and sealant used to secure them, also greatly reduce the internal diameter of the MAF housing and significantly reduce the volume of air capable of passing through them. The seamless design of the JBR IAS MAF housing eliminates these performance robbing problems and provides you a smooth wide path of performance.





Every Wide Path IAS Intake includes a Dry-Flow air filter. JBR Dry Flow air filters flow 200% more air than the factory filter while providing superior engine protection. It uses both depth loading, capable of removing extremely fine particles (down to < 0.1 micron), and structural screen wire to enhance airflow capabilities. This design results in a performance air filter capable of increasing horsepower and torque! The three-dimensional synthetic filtering medium is washable and requires no oiling for years of trouble free service.

Sorry, no promo codes or sales at this time. We have discontinued the hard pipe version and replaced it with the much better performing and better fitting silicone version. Much larger volume with the silicone and a significantly less restrictive MAF than the aluminum options out there.

Also, you don't need a 4 inch inlet or intake for a stock turbo lol. 3.5 inch is still far too much for a stock turbo as 3.5 inch intake flows more than anyone has done on the mazdaspeed platform other than the one 700 hp I've heard of on this forum, a 4" intake is sufficient enough for 700+ WHP. Save the engine bay room and go with 3"

Good information.. do you have any links to how you calculate max hp per intake diameter? Also, we refer to the piping by their outer diameter, but it's really the inner diameter that matters, so how does that affect your figures?

The calculations I don't know but if you pay attention to datalogs and watch mass air flow and MAF voltages with the intake being used and the power that is being made you can make an educated guess on what size intake you need, or more importantly MAF housing inner diameter. just remember the MAF sensor hits fuel cut at 4.9 volts so a properly calibrated MAF sensor will cut there if you're MAF housing is too small.

So right now if you pay attention to my sig my uncorrected power is there and depending on the temperature I do hit fuel cut because my MAF housing is basically stock (around 2.6-2.7" id) so a stockish MAF housing will cut around that power level and about 330-340 g/s of air. (the same datalog I posted my power numbers with) and the MAF voltage is right near fuel cut. So if you see my datalog and pay attention to the MAF parameters you can make the conclusion that a stock MAF housing/i take diameter can make roughly 310-320 whp at it's peak.

The 3" may require the holes in the bottom of the battery box to be ovaled out. The 3.5" needs the small tray to fit. The instructions are universal-ish.

So what do you guess a 3" intake will support HP wise? If stock size intake maxes out around 320hp, and 3.5" supports up to 700ish HP... 4" supports 700+ HP.. what does 3" support?

Im a bit confused about the MAF air straiteners. Says they are pressed in in his SRI, but in this one he says the press fit takes up room. What is the difference?

The air straigtener is high quality. Seamless around the straighteners where it meets with the wall of the MAF housing. Honeycomb has this issue to a small degree. MAF readings are stable as well...

Well I ordered the 3". Swapping out my speedie6 TIP and CPE CAI as the CAI rubbed thru my AC line due to putting in my Synapse in CPE FMIC and it was just too tight in there. This should solve that and clean things up. Will be a good match for BNR too I think.

I've been afraid to buy any of these larger intakes, JBR or HTP, because I don't think they fit with the CPE FMIC. I'm imagining that it would rub or not even fit because of the hot pipe location for the FMIC. Let us know if or how it fits, pictures pwease.

IDK, I figured it would fit. I thought it said it would fit with any standard FMIC such as not a home built. THe hot pipe goes up over the IM then to right and down so dont see where it would get in the way.

I know the BNR is slightly larder than stock but didnt think it was 3". I know someone had to dremel down the ID somewhat to get it to fit on the BNR. I figured I would use a heat gun and a lot of yealling. Maybe find something just larder diameter than it to streach it a bit right before I put it on...first need to get a BNR...
