| Not Ranked : 0 score Installed the new JBR .250 RSB, I call it the "Fat Boy" last week and here is a quick review of the bar. On the street I had the bar set to the middle setting and I drove the car on a few local roads with a lot of twisties and also on an exit ramp with decreasing radius turn, all I can say is the car felt like it was on rails........I felt no body roll, the car was stable and firmly planted and rotated nicely. You know you are on to something when the wife takes her turn in the car and was grinning, ear to ear, like the Chesire Cat in Alice in Wonderland! She auto-x's and undertands vehicle dynamics and was quite impressed with the the improve handling of the car and the overall feel. On Saturday at the Mazda Corral@ Mosport, we got to do Parade Laps. I was right behind the pace car and if you have participated in one of our events, you know these can be be quite spirited. I put the the Bar through it's paces and if you have seen the turn 5 A, B & C turns, you know that 5 b is a slow and very tricky turn.....well the car handled the tricky complex with relative ease and the car transitioned perfectly going into 5C and into turn 6! Here is a link to the track Map: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...electedIndex=3 I ran full stiff on the bar as well and my coils, too! Jamie, has a real winner here! I can't wait to mate the new JBR FSB with the "Fat Boy" at Mid-Ohio Labor Day event that I will instructing at. Tom Long of SpeedSource and Andrew Carbonell, will be putting the car and the FB and RSB through their tests as well. Can't wait to see what the pros have to say about the products! Great job and looking forward to doing a full day of testing at Mid-Ohio!

| Not Ranked : 0 score I disagree. I've had the same noise since I installed whiteline links that I had with the stockers. They're definitely tight. Again, it only happens while turning and going up an incline. Noise does not happen on potholes or while turning on flat ground.

(Thread Starter) | Neutral : -1 score Tightness is rarley the issue. When they make noise its from the socket. The are a ball and socket design. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you're truly convinced that it isn't your links, check your bar and subframe for any evidence of contact between the two (especially the outer edges of the "end pieces").

| Not Ranked : 0 score Top of the bar on the drivers side (on the bulky end) has hit the subframe several times. I can take a pic of the marks when I get home after work. I do have the original model swaybar. Idk if you modified the dimensions at all or just changed the name.

It just might explain the noise, that's all. I don't want to shit up a vendor section thread, but you've stumbled upon one of the reasons I am now using a CS solid bar. Much more subframe clearance and less issues with contact due to very slight positional shifts.

I'm not blaming anything or anyone. I've replied in minutes every time this guy has posted. I'm trying to help this guy and you two are doing nothing but blaming me for some nonsense bullshit. And I'm the one with the lack of class? You wonder why off topic comments are deleted? Enough. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't think I've blamed anyone for anything... Are you referring to me when you say "you two?" I simply posted about my experience (in order to help this guy out in trying to diagnose his noise issue). Take it for what it is.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I've already explained what's happening. It's hitting the subframe. It's not my links nor has it ever been my links. I didn't blame Jamie, however I've been dealing with clunking for a long time and the subframe holes are not as clean as they once were. So that minute amount of clearance in combination with not extremely tight mounting holes + a collar that allows for a slide yields clunk. So i either need to Re-drill the holes and find a better collar or switch to a less aggressive bar. I don't need that huge bar on the back with coilovers anyway.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I think it's fair to just acknowledge that when someone wants to install a bar that is "this big, in this style" that a trade-off is that positioning or matched endlinks is more critical. Sure, it may usually be user install error or bad endlinks, but the fact remains that it's a large bar and proper fitment is going to be a little more challenging to achieve than, let's say a smaller and less aggressive bar. Instead of deleting comments that are sharing of relevant experience, it would be more constructive to discuss it. |

I've had issues getting the bar tight because it's squeaked and clunked from the getgo. The squeaking was probably my fault using lithium grease in the stupid ass temperature swings we get in Wisconsin so I take ownership of that. Then the passenger side holes where stripped so I redrilled them to 12MM. Why I didn't do all four at that point I don't know. Unfortunately it's the top mounting hole that's the biggest issue. Getting a nut up top is next to impossible. I did it once (on the passenger side) and never again. The collars DO make a difference if it isn't tight Jamie. There's very very little clearance on a PU on specifically the driver's side. If that bracket slides up and down just a little bit it clunks. I wish I had a go pro to prove it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score We have the bar .250 on our PU, NO issues at all and the collars were not installed. The car has been tracked at Mid-Ohio, VIR, Road Atlanta and Pitt Race. The bar has been through much more than most.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Hey Dim and @RACER_X;, if you can get some snapshots of the points of impact/hole change I think that may help out a bit. It's hard to make a clear image of the issue using just words. This road gets traveled often lately in this part of the forum and I think now pictures should be an immediate thing posted so people don't come in with their theories and spiked bats without having a clear image of exactly what is happening. @jbarone; don't take ^ as a bash post. I just think now people should be including pics to give the members and yourself something to go on. I'm not a fan of vendor bashing, unless your name is cullen and you run the company that shall remain unsaid. I hope the mentioned issues get resolved in a positive manner whether it be an issue with the bar or actual failed end links.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Good quality full synthetic grease is a must with polyurethane bushings or noises will occur. The OEM end links are really not up to the job of larger sway bars. |
