might be able to get one at lowes or any autoparts store. Its a pretty common fitting.

That valve is just a drain and serves no other purpose but to drain the can. If it's not leaking you should be fine.

I just went to drain my catch can and nothing came out. Is this normal? I have had it installed for about 4 weeks now. I got it during the black friday sale. I followed the instructions to the best of my knowledge. Anything I should look for? Maybe I put the hoses backwards?

You bought it last November and installed it 4 weeks ago? We updated the directions and the location of the check valve since then so you may have the lines backwards. PM me and we'll figure it out.

Why not keep both directions posted? I have your OCC in the box still that I bought last summer and will need the old directions for whenever I finally get around to my installs.

You'll wanna reconfigure you check valve and install it on the intake side if you have the stage 2 kit and use the current instructions. PM me if you need help when you're ready to install it.

Just to clarify, the check valve needs to be connected on the hose attached to the intake manifold? Once that is done, will i need to swap the hoses attached to the can? Swap the bottom, to the top. vice versa? Intake hose goes on bottom of the can?

Yes. Intake hose goes on the top. PCV hose Hose on the bottom. Arrow on the CV must be pointing towards the intake manifold.

You can do whatever you want but I would never suggest it. Pulling the oil that the OCC doesn't capture back in through your intake, turbo, then through the inter-cooler is NOT a good idea.

So just got around to fixing my catch can. Check valve points towards intake manifold nipple, just unscrew both sides and reverse it. Doing it a second time, made this pretty simple. Just hate the lack of space on our cars. Looking forward to the junk that comes out

I've always gotten a couple ounces when I drained my OCC every 5k miles, at oil changes. Last time I got like 20 oz! I use an 8 oz water bottle and usually it is 1/4 filled, but this time I filled it and drained it twice, and filled it again halfway. Not sure why the difference, I use the same oil, I don't think I missed draining last time and anyway it was like 5 times as much, not just twice.
Anyway, lots of stuff in there, it works. Curious though, if there is a likely reason - is it normal to collect more/less at different times, and why might that be?

Ordered this with check valve and the EGR block off. I really think I would rather head off the dirty valves/oil in intake than wait till having to clean crap off and regret not doing this as soon as possible. I have 3000 miles now, hopefully they're still clean.

I got an email from him on the 11th of March saying expected ship date from then was 2-weeks:

"Thanks for ordering with JBR! We are sorry to inform you that the Stage 2 Oil Catch Can Kit is currently out of stock. We are in the process of manufacturing more now. Expected ship date is about 2 weeks. You will be notified again when your order has shipped."

That is correct about another week or so. I'd order now and take advantage of the sale though. They'll ship as soon as they are finished.

Thanks for the lickity split shipping on the catch can and other shtuff, I have a question about the VTA setup. I am not fully bolted yet but will be there shortly along with an ethanol e-tune, will there be drive-ability issues with the VTA while still using a stage 1 OTS tune until then?

I don't suspect there will be but we have not tested this on a true Stage 1 car. I would either choose to wait or monitor things closely. Look for good oil production in the can and, if there's no smoke out of the tail pipe I'd say your fine.

Out of stock, more in the making...1-2 weeks. No site. They leak, turn dark and become useless. I would not recommend a can with a site. The install is a bit of a job but, if you can read, our instructions are the best available and will walk you through it step by step.

MMmMmmm Yummmayyy. Do you drain it until the can is empty (Just the contents drain out). Or will oil continue to flow if you leave the drain valve open?
