Are these new ones adjustable to a shorter throw vs the previous ones? Thought I recall the previous being 33% vs 40% on these. I could be wrong. I like the new design better too. Thanks.

+1 on comparisons between this being a shorter-throw than the old one (at the lowest setting)

What's the advantage? I like my current one. I also don't relish the idea of being without mine for a while. I mean, it's free, but still. The shifting is finally getting smooth with the current one. The only thing I'd really change is where the shifter sits, since 2, 4, 6 look a lot like neutral and it's just weird. Can this do that? Is it less notchy somehow?

It's only free if you purchased in the last 30 days.

It reduces the throw by as little as 20% or as much as 40%. Please read the other thread carefully.

Its early you through a curveball at us cmon gotta throw us some bones, so nothing is different from the original except it adjusts to a lower setting no shorter throws than the original, correct??

JBR 09-15-2011 08:32 AM

No shorter than the original; can't go shorter with just a plate.

These questions should be asked in the other thread. I'm going to lock this one. PM for upgrade replacement questions.

I did read it, and I did buy in the last 30 days. So what you're saying is that if I'm happy with the throw length, I shouldn't bother? I don't know what shorter would feel like, but I like where I am, I think.

You won't be able to shorten the throw if you replace it for the new one - only extend it.
