Default JBR Small Battery Box and the HTP 3.5"

Thanks @jbarone;
I never got a chance to review and thank Jamie for this solid piece. I can't believe that I was actually able to fit the 3.5" with the regular battery but I'm glad I got the 51R battery tray for the ms6.

If you have the HTP 3.5" intake with the JBR small battery box you gotta watch out for these things sticking out and fucking up your intake.... (circled in red on the JBR image)

Here is my setup you can see how close it is to the 3.5" intake... (after cuts have been made)
I know I should have double checked for clearance in there with the bigger intake pipe, but space was so tight I assumed it was all good.

This is the hole it made in my intake, luckily it didn't go all the way through. I ended up cutting off a piece of the hook end of the bracket rod and smoothed it out with a dremel. I also added inlet caps to the ends to prevent any further damage.

I am extremely satisfied with this, and hopefully this thread will provide as a reference for people or just something to look out for.

I didn't have any issues with my intake getting "poked", but the battery tie down had to be modified, even with a small battery. Otherwise, great product JBR.

Ok, I'm confused....a couple of days ago you PM me complaining that you had to modify the battery tie down, I asked what you had to do and for pictures, neither of which I received, you're continuing to complain and in your signature it says you have an HTP battery box.

What's up with that?

First of all sorry about your wife, that sucks.

Im interested to know what you had to modify also. Mine was a perfect fit.

I've seen both the HTP and JBR tray and they are practically the same thing. The only thing i like better about the HTP try is you mount the ECU horizontal vs. vertical. @jbarone; is there a way to change that or did I miss something on the install.

We chose to mount the ECU vertically because it requires NO modification to the wiring harness like it does when mounted horizontally. It's a lot easier to stock out and get warranty work done when you don't have to explain why the wiring harness was butchered.

I've had mine in for months. the MS3 one has about 6" of clearance.

Maybe try flipping the hook the other way around?
