(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score How much air are you guy flowing under WOT? In the middle of my Strat tune and we've quickly hit a wall with my CS unit sucking down 245g/s which seems to be limiting the true potential of the tune (along with this shitty 91 octane fuel, although im switching to 94)

Note: I do have a full DP and I was getting probably 265-270 on my CS intake that I had previously.

Normally quite good. The log I posted above is an anomaly.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I saw my CS intake and tip combo max out around 240-250g/s on a hot day. Highest recorded was on a very cold day somewhere around 275-280g/s. Nothing abnormal if the maf is dialed in correctly IMO. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score hmmm that is low I would assume you should hit 300 grams per second with a 3.0 intake with the proper tune. I am almost hitting 300 g/s on my rich tune revision with a injen cold air intake, but when I am ready to make more power such as a BT I am for sure going with a jbr WP

Dayum, that dood is gonna have fun getting 290hp on BT. @NCspecV81; check this out before trying to suck BT air through a stir straw.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The maf g/s is highly dependent on how tight the maf curve is. I don't think it has been quantified, but the gen2 can correct open loop fueling up to 10% or more, so @ 250 g/s, that could be the ~25 g/s discrepancy. Your altitude is also contributing. My k04 never hit any more than 265 g/s and I made 338 whp / 362 wtq with a .98 CF. G/s is not a particularly good indicator of HP. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Like Rfinkle2 said, people use that g/s number way to much to quantify power level. My BNR "flows" 315ish on a hot day, yet I make 400+hp FYI, the CS intake uses an AEM dryflow filter, which has been proven to be one of the best performing filters on the market. Edit: As does all of the JBR intakes Another FYI, one of the first times I got on a dyno to tune my car was when the AP first came out for gen2, and I was testing maf cal, and g/s vs actual hp. So I ran my CS map, then loaded a COBB SF map. Both of these were tested on the street before hand, and wot maf cal was spot on 11.5afr. CS map flowed 255-265 g/s, the COBB SF map was "flowing" 300g/s, boost and timing were the same...... HP/TQ numbers were all within 5hp of each other over the 4 runs I made on those 2 maps. So maf g/s has to be used with a grain of salt.

| Not Ranked : 0 score In all seriouseness though, amggilly305 is right. Because Pu Lol I see sometimes people claiming k04's flowing 330 g/s with 3 or 3.5" intakes but its really just the result of an overly scaled MAF curve with the ECU correcting so AFR's look spot on. OP may actually be flowing up to ~275 g/s but would not know due to OL correction. MAF g/s can most certainly be used as an indicator of HP but it is to be taken with a grain of salt as atvfreek said especially if we run E85 which contains more oxygen in the fuel itself than 93 Pump Gasoline w/ ~10-15% ethanol. Groan me
