Default Autotech Internals

Just giving all you gen2 boys a heads up...

I am ordering and installing http: http://www.autotech.com/prod_engine_fuelinj.htm

Im hoping to give us another option to the HPFP shortage.

Should have them delivered and installed by the 19th of this month.

I did alot of research on vdub forums since KMD is made for vdubs and so are autotechs, same set up just different companies and a little more expensive but i just want a damn fuel pump so i can install my downpipe and actually use the AP to its full advantage.

Many threads I moused through all pointed to Autotech > KMD, so well see how it goes

Also i called autotech and they said there internals are good up to 200 bar of pressure which equals out to 2900psi (I laughed to), but after reading some threads people have said that they see a steady 133bar, which is 19XX psi, which is excellent if you ask me.

Alrighty!!! Auto-Tech Internals installed, logs are 3rd gear pull and 4th gear pull. Enjoy!

As of now im only running Stage1+SF+TIH 93 Octane BT, for some reason the link on cobbs site for +CDHP is broken, so hopefully they will fix it monday so i can run that map and post some more logs with the higher boost map.

Thanks to BeeZa for hooking be up with the Stage1+SF+TIH+CDHP 93 Octane BT map, last two logs are with this map, Target 19psi, hold 17psi to redline. Shit feels like a whole different car now, ap rocks!

logs are obviously labeled with the map they were logged on.

There the same exact type of internals as KMD, so I dunno why people would think they wouldnt work.

PTP is a scrub ass company. Auto-tech is known in the vw world and from what i have read hasent had any failures.

There is no way you can compare PTP products to any company.

I just talked to a guy at auto tech and he didn't know if these would work for the gen 2. And I was trying to make sure that they will fit our pump. Thanks guys

You need to read some of the other threads on HPFP options, because we've been through this at least a dozen times.

They are good internals and they are also local to us if you didnt know.

I know KMD made a change to the piston design and rod. The rod on the new version is longer, so this is why i decided to wait it out and give em a whirl.

I though they were changing their coating, or is that the change that became v2.1.

Well ill be looking into either new internals or the cpe pump here soon...My ptp pump which has held up 1600-1800 @wot for the past year now, has decided to drop down to 900 psi from 5000-5700rpm, so im getting some cut and no wot for me at this time.

Im really looking for feedback for the awe tuning internals, since their spose to be a pretty dam good company for the vdub/audi boys. But like Haltech said, maybe ill wait for kmd, just want the best internals for my money, And do not want to wait tooo long.

Oh the Cp-e pump is and has been the gold standard for us speeders. Well aware of that...lifetime warranty is very nice. Gerry said it will prabaly be 3-4 weeks atleast before pumps come in, we shall see.

reminds me of the carpie dime internals that failed on me, with the different, goffy ass, valve spring clips, split the retainer in half!! luckily
it didn't trash my pump housing...

hope the retainer is harder than a hore's heart!!!
