so.... went back through here just for the fuck of it and noticed something kinda odd. so i did some copy and paste stuff and my hunch was correct. i could have SWORN i pasted a different DBW table when i made the post for "the relaxed individuals" but apparently only the APP table copied over correctly... ah fuck. Regardless that table was more relaxed because of the APP positioning, BUT i meant to post this. I updated the OP DBW table to match...

So there is a need to redo the relaxed tables?

Is the Gen 2 APP tables the same for 2nd to 6th gear?

Can I reduce wheelspin in the first 3 gears by modifying the APP tables?

This updated DWP table is the one he mocked up for me. You all only had the updated APP tables to this point which is FAR less aggressive than the original post with both sets of tables. With out this DWP table, I can see why you thought the new mock ups were so pussy since it only changed the APP table. @himurax13;, copy and paste this in and it might change your mind about it being too mild.
Also, on this relaxed version, the APP table uses the same table for 1st-6th gear. Unlike the original which had a different one for 1st. In short, you should like this much better now.
This is a great set of tables for those that aren't FMIC as as much compensation isn't needed for air travel time.
Like I stated in a previous post, this eliminates the lag in the gas pedal and causes much quicker spool up.

I'll have to revisit the tables in my map as I went with what was posted for the less aggressive APP and used the other DWP tables figuring they were good to go.

It took me a few days to get accustomed to but the throttle is a lot nicer and no pedal dead spot/lag.

yea idk how it didnt end up getting pasted correctly. @lobitoPU; is running the tables i just posted so maybe he can chime in on how he thinks the feel is. basically it should feel like stock without the dead pedal it has at about 50% input. And yes its meant to run this APP table for 1-6. it really only probably needs to be run 1-3 and you could run a linear throttle table for 4-6 to make those feel peppier but it will be marginal if you could even tell at all

Holy wow, did this make a huge difference on the OTS Stage 1 map.

Love gears 2+ but 1st was too picky for me. Copied the throttle info from Stage 0 onto stage 1 and gonna see how that works for me(I like the way stage 0 feels)

Which tables did you implement? The original set or the more chill, revised ones?
Also, @snailD;, I still have a small bit (about the first 1/2") of dead pedal with the revised ones. Is that normal?

I went with the first DBW table in the first post. Is the second table the more chill one?

This is what I went with

@El Beaner; Yes, the 2nd set are the more chill ones. Implement them to your Stage 1 map and you'll be much happier.

Just saw this thread. The throttle response improvement was the first thing I noticed after @snailD; tuned my car. It feels so responsive and quick to get into boost. Very nice!

Ok, will do. So the APP listed under it I should use for Gears 1-6?

That could explain why I felt gea 1 was much touchier than than the others since the one I implemented had a seperate 1st gear APP.

I'll make the adjustment tonight and flash for my morning drive and will see how that is.

Also, @snailD;, I still have a small bit (about the first 1/2") of dead pedal with the revised ones. Is that normal?
i dont feel the same thing, but just increase the APP slightly in the low range (where the dip is) to get it to where you are happy. maybe just try a linear app and you will like it better

Yup. I'm kinda thinking I inputted the wrong DBW table when I did this (before he changed it to the "chill" one) and that's why I'm boosting so incredibly quickly. It's almost impossible not too. When the wife gets home with the laptop I'll have to check mine values to the 2 different ones listed above.

El Beaner, it looks like your car is coming right along since I saw it last.

I want to thank @snailD. This post almost single-handedly pushed me to learn more about using ATR.

BTW...I made the APP values below after playing with SnailD's and Ledfoot's. It similar to Snail's original but makes my car less likely to jump into boost in stop and go traffic. I use them in APP tables 1 - 6.
Sorry, I don't know how to post a table for easy copying.

I wonder if I raise my idle (still OEM value) if that would help the feeling of first half inch dead pedal?

Yeah been doing some Mods here and there. Intake will be going in this weekend as well as solid shifter bushings and some other style enhancements.

I cannot figure out how to link someone in these posts.

@The Nut -
I am using the OTS DBW tables A, B,and C with the values I posted above in APP gears 1 -6. I have no dead spots at all. The throttle is quite a bit more alive than OTS but a touch more tame than SnailD's orginal APP's. I really like it.

To link people use mention in brackets

mention the persons name and then the ending bracket with / before the m inside the bracket.

Stage 1 map updated and flashed to ecu. In anticipation of liking it I went ahead and made a stage 1 cs sri+tih map update with these throttle curves.

@The Nut -
I am using the OTS DBW tables A, B,and C with the values I posted above in APP gears 1 -6. I have no dead spots at all. The throttle is quite a bit more alive than OTS but a touch more tame than SnailD's orginal APP's. I really like it.
I love them. I still have a tiny bit (maybe half inch) of dead pedal at the top. Wondering, as I said above, if raising my idle would take care of that. Didn't notice it till a while after I implemented them.

Edit: yup, had more aggressive DBW tables this whole time. Now I should be able to stay out of boost when I want to. Also gone try out more aggressive APP tables for gears 4-6, see how that feels.

Ok, so I did my first drive with the new setup and it was very nice and responsive. Got a couple of questions/issues.

#1 the APP table - I only placed it in Gears 1-6 and left the 0 neutral alone. Should I have updated 0?

#2 I know this isn't at WOT because only WOT I did was during a specific stretch of road. I am seeing a lot more "ghost/partial throttle" KR as well as negative LTFT(first I've ever seen of that). Not sure if this should be a concern/normal?

I'll need to run a log to make sure no other issues. Side note, my HPFP maxed out just over 1800, normally at WOT I'll see it hit into the 20xx range.

I left APP table 0 alone. I think most people do.

How many miles have you driven since the flash?

The general consensus is to not worry about LTFT until you've put at least 50 miles on the map update so the computer can relearn.

Ah ok - trip to work is roughly 20 miles.

As far as the KR, I am pretty certain it was partial throttle KR which from my understanding is pretty normal for our cars adjusting timing trying to maximize fuel efficiency and what not.

I really can't speak much on KR. I honestly haven't ventured much further than following this post and Bucker's guide to adjust my maps. I plan to inquire with one of the awesome tuners on this forum about an e - tune before my curiosity gets too carried away and I do something destructive to my car.

Yeah some good options have surfaced over the past few days. Freektune is now offering slightly modified OTS maps(Freektune OTS plus) for $65 - initial map + 1 revision
http://www.freektune.com/products/ma...6-ots-plus-map

As well as Stratified is offering S-OTS plus maps too for $25 to adjust their SOTS map to be based on your mods.
http://www.stratifiedauto.com/index....roducts_id=230

After I get my intake, I'll most likely pay for a Freektune OTS plus since I don't plan on doing much more and if I do I'll be going full tune at that time.

changing the throttle table wont have anything to do with KR.

adjusting the DBW table and not adjusting the APP to what i have or something very similar will cause the throttle to be very different from what i intended. just wanted to make sure you knew that. if you are trying to get these to your liking and understand the relationship between the two then do whatever you want =)

I'm wondering why I saw that KR then, I've never had anything above 3 while cruising around town until I did this update.

Only thing it could be would be partial throttle KR since I am still trying to get used to the new throttle response and how it behaves. I'll watch it the next few days to see what it does.

Ok went out for lunch and kept an eye on kr. Saw kr mainly on turns or slight merging onto another road. In the straight and did a wot no kr noticed.

Still getting used to the new throttle response but I love having the power when I wsnt/need it

Have you installed a RMM yet? Is it possible the KR is related to the engine jerking around with increased power? I'm sure there are other posts on here about your situation.

Lol I had a JBR rmm for a while and just did not like the vibes. Unless/until the stock rmm fails gonna stay this way. But could definitely be just the sensor picking up that extra noise.

I bought a Daily Driver. Everyone has the things they just don't like. Mine just happens to be vibes/rattles.

I'm happy with how my car rides and if that means dealing with ghost KR due to engine movement then that's what I'll have to deal with.

it may not be related to the TB control exactly but i have seen strange kr when releasing the gas pedal and i realised my timing chain is a bit loose and i expect this backlash to cause ghost KR, maybe the new table make the engine going from power to compression more quickly and this noise is registered by the knock sensor ??? could it be ? I want to thank @snailD. This post almost single-handedly pushed me to learn more about using ATR.

BTW...I made the APP values below after playing with SnailD's and Ledfoot's. It similar to Snail's original but makes my car less likely to jump into boost in stop and go traffic. I use them in APP tables 1 - 6.
Sorry, I don't know how to post a table for easy copying.

0, 1.53, 2.43, 4.28, 6.75, 9.45,12.2, 14.75, 17.33, 22.5, 27, 31.5, 36, 40.5, 45, 54, 63, 72, 82, 100.
I loaded up you app cause I was feeling a bit of the same as you like the car wanted to surge into boost. Loaded it up for tomorrow to see how I like it.
