Advertising prices that are below your MAP agreement and stealing pictures and other artwork from people is pretty sleazy. Just even seeing the way he communicates makes him seem like a slime ball.

But anyways... isnt it considered price fixing if you are forcing someone to sell a product at a certain price? Doesn't that just completely undermine the idea of a free market economy? Im pretty sure that the anti trust act makes such practices illegal.

My understanding of MAP is that you cannot ADVERTISE below a certain price. However free market should make it almost impossible to dictate a selling price anyways.

If you have ever been on newegg, Amazon, ect, and gotten the "add to cart to see price" message, that is the same thing as PMing a vendor for a deal. They aren't allowed to openly advertise the price so they make you add it to the cart.

Im not saying that MAP pricing is a bad thing by any means. Having spent a little time getting to learn how a vendor operates, I have found that companies with no MAP agreement are pretty difficult to sell/work with. Thats because guys just go and sell products at like $1 above cost. It fucks everything up. So MAP agreements are definitely good for legitimate vendors.

If any of my understanding is incorrect, someone please feel free to correct my misinformation. Im not an expert, but im pretty sure this is how it works.

@GODspeed7; I had HUGE issues with them when I bought my wheels, it was a terrible idea. I am at work so I can't give the description it deserves but I will post some pictures and conversations when I get home tonight.

It is absolutely ABSURD the shit him and Chris said to be about my wheels and my issues with my purchase.

i have never dealt with this comany but i am of the opion that if you are a LEGIT company, why in the hell do you spend more time posting in facebook groups then advertising on the forums of the platforms you sell to? it seems childish and unprofessional to me, odviously he was doing this to get around the agreed upon pricing of the companies he sold product for. personally, i will support those who support the community, and facebook is not the community. facebook (to me atleast), seems to be the SURE nut hugger "community". edge and jbr have always and will always have my business. rpm has been great the times i have used them and i do appriciate the hard work that corksport puts into the platform r&d.

I'm very active on the OMS facebook page, I knew something was shady when XTR would comment on every post stating "We have BC coils for cheap, PM me for details." It was beyond annoying. I've talked to many owners about suspension set ups, and many would say "I'm getting BC, ISC, etc. from xtr, for $$$" Generally being a cheap price...I would even say that's a great deal, go for it. Little did I know at the time they were fucking companies like edgeautosport, where JP has worked his ass off to get his company where it is today.

Okay guys, I got a few messages from people about this whole ordeal as they know I am Nates mechanic and deal with him quite often. Enough messages actually that I left my shop for the day so I could get to my computer and read through this whole thread and see what's up as I am connected to him in a way but no part of what he is doing or has done.

If I had to describe Nate it would be the follower and one upper. He has changed things on his car to be like my personal car and changed parts that were suppose to be on the car originally.

I have warned him about harassing people for buying parts as that is not how business is done. You put your services out there and if people want to use them the they will. You gain work by how good you do the business you have and those customers refer you work.

Anyways I have never bought from him as I prefer vendors that actually produce products or sell for select platforms. Also for customer cars I prefer their receipts to say that parts come directly from jbr, corksport, sp63, htp, etc and have all original warranty papers and directions.

He has offered to beat prices from the whole seller I use for rods, pistons, and arp fasteners but I would rather not as in the business everyone has to make money and buys at a certain price.

He surfs fb all the time to sell parts. Weather that's wrong or not is up to you. He sells a lot of stuff across many platforms. There is no real advertised price with him as you message for price. He will sell above cost enough to get your business. This is just like what a company does when you buy a bunch of stuff and they toss in something as they made enough to pay for what they gave you and still make money. I am not saying the way he sells is right by any means at all. Some companies have a price that an item canny be sold below. If he has violated that then he is responsible to that company for that.

The use of the picture and many other pictures he uses I have always frowned upon. They are not his cars nor his pictures. Notice a pic of my car has never been used by him. As a business person on fb you cover should be you logo or storefront pic with customer cars imo. I would have not let him use the pic on his page. On the fb page for msog fine as it is a public forum and not a vendor oriented forum.

I have told him from day one to watch how he does business as the guys in the mazdaspeed community do not mess around and are not your run of the meal car guys. We are educated, well informed, and smart. If you make an error and do not address it quickly and correctly then you will be hung out to dry.

I have not received anything from him since all of this has gone down. His car is almost done, just a few other items with the fuel system and waiting on the last parts to come in that he was already suppose to have ordered weeks ago and didn't.

If you have a question about him or his business related to me please message me here or on FB. I have a good reputation and would like to uphold that and continue to build my business.

Xtr performance is like amazon to me. An internet wholesaler, and I do not try and do business with them. I try to keep all my business within the mazdaspeed community as there are multiple small business owners here that I would rather work with and support.

I got my Cobb AP V3 from him as recommended by many people from Mazdaspeed New/Used Parts Facebook page.
Personally, I had zero issues in dealing with him and it was mostly professional.
That does not mean I agree with his actions or sales tactics nor would I condone them.
When I was buying he informed me of issues he had with selling for Cobb but did not clarify and I didn't think to ask. He also asked if I'd send my PayPal payment as family. Again, didn't think anything of it but luckily no issues from my business with him. I don't think I'll return to him after reading this though. Personal preference. Almost pulled the trigger on a few items from him, thankfully I came across this! I also did some graphic work for him by Photoshopping those new Enkie wheels on a speed6 (on a random Google photo), not once did he mention me or say thank. The most upsetting part was he posted it a few more times and doesn't even state that they are renderings or even cares that the photo is someone else's..

I bought an AEM methanol controller (not kit) from him a while ago. I was in a hurry and he ships from Turn 14 distribution which is a 1 day package for me usually.

I actually think I could have gotten the controller cheaper straight from the manufacturer.

I didn't know that he was doing "deals" with tuners and have since been asked not to do business with him.

I want nothing to do with the guy if he is going to screw over our members or treat me like I'm stupid, like when he suggested he wasn't using my pic for advertising rpf1's, or not holding his end of the deal up with Gr8speed.

In the interest of being totally honest, if you have any questions about what I bought and when, as well as price I would be happy to share.

I definitely would not call myself a customer in the fashion that he is leading people to believe.
