(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Pardon my ignorance. The CP-e exhaust manifold seems to be offered with 3 flange options. The stock flange of course. A Tial flange that I think is just a 3" V-band flange no? Or maybe some metric size in that area? And I have no idea what a Precision 3" THV is. I did some searching and I found some clamps that look like V-band clamps. Though I saw some references to T3 and T4 in conjunction with THV. So I haven't a clue. I don't see any specific mention of T3 or T4. My current turbo has a T3 flange. So, do I need to get a different flange onto the turbo? My basic understanding is that Garret GT3x turbos most commonly come with T3 flanges and GT4x most commonly come with T4. I think some people have run T4 turbos on the MZR platform, but not many. I thought T3 was generally the most common though I could be wrong. I understand the V-band flanges have the advantage that you can slightly twist the turbo one way or the other to make best fitment. Other than that, what are the advantages/disadvantages of the Tial or THV flanges? Pardon my ignorance, thanks for any information.
