there actually wasent a problem with the metal at all. Whenever you cast something there is always a shrinkage factor to the metal when it cools. CPE was smart enough to make the mold a little smaller for the first casting so that if the manifold shrunk too much they could just remove a little bit of material from the mold to make the casting larger rather then having to pay another 15k+ to make another mold haha

Sorry for the delayed responce on this.
The manifold is Cast aluminum.
This will come pre-machined for port injection, you will also have the option to have the hole predrilled or with break away holes incase you want to do PI later on down the road.

Some of those lost wax molds are really complex. They go together and come apart like puzzle pieces it's a cool process to watch.

When i had my 6th port hooked up, even spraying just 93 i was able to push my tune further than on the stock fuel system alone because the fuel acted like a methanol of sorts, i could see my BAT's dropping (or drop) during a pull. I have a feeling with setups like this, its "almost" the same as direct port methanol, and we may start seeing 400+ whp cars on 93 alone (mid sized turbos mind you, gt30 frame and the like). With that being said however, spraying fuel in a 6th port fashion gives it time to mix with the air in the plenum and likely is the reason for most of the cooling, sprayed directly at the combustion chamber like this... could we expect any real difference on 93 only? E85 is great and all, but i would love to improve effeciency on 93 alone, the less we need to rely on E, the better.

it's the old golf ball effect. a boundary layer of turbulent air stays close the to walls, while faster smoother flowing air is allowed to slip past unimpeded. if there were no turbulence near the surfaces, it would just create drag and slow the velocity of the smooth flowing air.

Its a bunch of hokey. The flow in the runners is turbulent anyhow. Same as the mass flow straighteners. They don't straighten anything, they actually increase the turbulence and reduce the entrance length of the pipe in front of the MAF.

There should certainly be a boundary layer even after the compressor, velocity and pressure shouldn't change that, but why wouldn't there be laminar flow?

With the amount of bends and offsets in our setups, it is almost impossible to get any sort of laminarity. Hell, even in a controllable environment such as a clean room, many tweaks are needed to get laminar flow across tables and other equipment. If all the piping was completely straight and had honeycombs along the line you would have a chance.

Anyways MAF/laminar/turbulent flow have been discussed ad nauseum. You want turbulent flow at the MAF. You want a flat velocity profile, laminar flow does not provide a flat velocity profile.
