Intake manifold for possible use

I have been doing research on intake manifold. Found a intake manifold the might be possible use with some fab work. The manifold bolt right up to are disi clyinder head and are TB bolt right up and look like or I should say flow a lot more then are intakemanifold. Here are some picture of it..

Most Audi's VW's come with plastic manifolds, same with the Boss 302, and people are running 800 whp through those. Not to say all plastics are made equal but it is a possibility, also plastic doesnt heatsoak, or is at least severely resistant to it.

What's the difference in the st model and the focus model? Mounting locations? ports? Imbalance? Of just overall cost?

if i had to take a guess, i'd expect it to hold 25 PSI. if you look at ABS and PVC pipe they are rated above that.

now i know those charts are at 70C, and that the they will change for the worse as temp increases. Anyone have an idea of how hot the IM gets?

I'm thinking the im gasket tells the story, and the story appears to be about a significant reduction in flow volume. Possibly as much as 15-20%.

ETA: that's assuming it's ABS, which it may not be. It appears that gasoline will dissolve ABS. is the focus a DISI motor?

Has to be, it doesn't have any PI ports on it.

The different of the st model is the port its a lot bigger it match are manifold to a T and the position of the TB is on the bottom. What I did is order a Ecoboost intake manifold just to verify and try it out..

Hmm. I can definitely see some flow advantages for having the TB on the bottom like that, but doesn't look like it has any sort of plenum to it.

Obviously it would requrire some new piping to fit with the IC.
For the the guys running Top Mount it looks like the throttle body would possibly interfere with the cold pipe. Unless a shortened boost hose could possibly work but the angles would be pretty extreme.

For the front mount guys it looks like a 90 degree coupler and shortening of the existing cold pipe, while adjusting the angle up would allow it to function, as long as it doesnt interfere with the filter/maf/intake area in the engine bay.

How is the clearance with the thermostat installed? It looks like the base is significantly larger as well.
