(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score diagnosing a pressure issue for another local speed owner. Hoping someone can help me out a bit. His Car: speed 6 HPFP: Gen 1 speed 3 used pump, autotech internals. Story: guy claims car is running weird, he sends me a 4th gear WOT log. All parameters look within target except the HPFP act. pressure only hits around 1500psi or so at 2.9k RPM,then drops incrementally down to 1100psi through the power band towards 6k RPM. He had already replaced his pump (with the used one listed above) saying it would only hit 400psi max. He has cleaned the pump very thoroughly, checked all seals, and checked the spill valve. Now, this is all via messenger as I'm short on time to help in person. Was hoping maybe some of this would sound familiar to some of you, or may trigger a direction I can tell him to check next. Because at this point, he's wanting to send the injectors off, put new injector seals on, replace the in tank pump, all at once, and Obviously all of that isn't necessary. Any thoughts guys? Remember he has new autotech internals that he's cleaned twice now. Lubrication issue? Sound like a hindered seal maybe? Just trying to gather some opinions before I waste a day tearing through this thing. Thanks guys |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Has he tested the relief valve? Can't remember the exact steps except that it involves monitoring (logging) while idling and shutting the car off to see what happens to pressure.

| Not Ranked : 0 score If this guy wants his problem solved so badly why doesn't he create an MSF profile and work us directly? Why go through a friend? Unless he's been banned or did some other dumb shit.
